Cool things I found while wasting time online #24

This is a post of interesting things I’ve found online (and sometimes offline) in one week. These things may include among others: recipes, fandom stuff, interesting articles or artwork. Last week was kind of crappy for me, so I didn’t even waste much time online 😀

  • How about an Akita dog idol band? xD Only in Japan I tell you! xD This is as ridiculous as it is completely adorable xD
  • This spaghetti squash with creamy avocado sauce sounds sooooooo good. I really hope I can find some more spaghetti squash so I can try it out.
  • A rap recap of Deadpool. It was funny 😀
  • I have been super intrigued with these Japanese “water cakes” as they look so beautiful, but this one takes the cake: it’s shaped like a SLEEPING CAT OMG SO CUTE! How is this food?

Since I can’t access Photobucket again to upload photos, let’s do this instead. I haven’t really made this post for a while now, because I got distracted by real life troubles.

Anyway, this is a post of interesting things I’ve found online (and sometimes offline) in one week… Well this times it’s like in a month xD These things may include among others: recipes, fandom stuff, interesting articles or artwork.

  • Look at this vodka bottle concept art 😀 I’d buy this just because of the bottle!
  • “Stranger Things” retold in 8bit 😀 So adorable and funny.
  • I really like this video for “Wynken, Blynken & Nod” by Jack and Amanda Palmer. The song is lovely too.
  • Peter Parker’s Home for the Wayward Villain” is one of the funniest and the most exciting fanfictions I have read for a while. To be honest, at first I dropped this fic after reading about half of the first chapter… it just sounded like a really stupid idea for a story: Tony Stark’s adoptive son, Peter Parker (minus powers), drops out of college and runs away from home to become a farmer in the middle of nowhere. I mean, what?  But for whatever reason I decided to continue reading and, oh by the stars, best decision ever made. This story is hilarious, with a ridiculous cast ensemble from both the Avengers universe and the X Men. If you are in any way interested in Marvel stuff and appreciate silly humor, give this fic a go 🙂
  • The  vidoe title speaks for itself 😀
  • Sneak peek at the next “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie! So excited for this!  Also, awwwwww baby Groot!
  • This One-Skillet Butternut Alfredo Baked Fusili sounded too good. I already made this (sans the baking part and a skillet) and it was glorious.
  • “American Gods” inspired Laura Moon’s chili. I already made this as well with a couple of tweaks of my own to the recipe. One tweak happened, because I bought minced beef instead of just a chunk of beef and I decided to skip the coriander as I am not a big fan of it.
  • These Ground Cherry and Pistachio Hand Pies sound too delicious!
  • An adorable Stranger Things Christmas in the style of the Charlie Brown comics (or Peanuts as it’s apparently called).
  • Another really cool Russian vodka bottle concept 😀
  • This Spaghetti Pie sounds like a really good idea for tomorrow’s dinner actually. MMMmmm carbs!

This is a post of interesting things I’ve found online (and sometimes offline) in one week. These things may include among others: recipes, fandom stuff, interesting articles or artwork.

  • I am so  totally making this Pumpkin Banana Bread. I even bought the pumpkin already to make the pumpkin puree, but then I didn’t actually have the time to make it the same day and now my boyfriend is not home for a while, so I guess this baking project is postponed for a few days.
  • Aww look at these Strawberry Cthulhu cake decorations 😀 Those are so adorable!
  • I need these kitty paw gloves so I could go hunting for Pokemon in style during winter time 😀
  • Wow, this Lovecraft inspired anime looks fantastic. I love the style and the atmosphere. The music is so fitting as well. Can’t wait to see the full thing!

This is a post of interesting things I’ve found online (and sometimes offline) in one week. These things may include among others: recipes, fandom stuff, interesting articles or artwork.

  • These handmade wing shaped backpacks are pretty cool looking.
  • The Oditorium is a neat podcast that consists of people talking about the strange interests that they have (such as animal vaginas, nazis in space and whether Sherlock Holmes had a mental illness) and two quirky show hosts that do an occasionally funny intro to the talks (from time to time they also review biscuits). I especially loved the episode where Tilly Gregory spoke about Werewolf Erotica xD I absolutely recommend you listen to it, because that story is simply incredible.
  • Aww look at this quirky vegetable peeler! Isn’t it cute?  xD

This is a post of interesting things I’ve found online (and sometimes offline) in one week. These things may include among others: recipes, fandom stuff, interesting articles or artwork.

I’ve missed several weeks of posting this, but I guess I’ve been rather busy and haven’t had my usual time to roam the web. Which in hindsight is a good thing, because it means I’ve been actually somewhat productive, right? 😀 Anyway, some random finds over the weeks:

This is a post of interesting things I’ve found online (and sometimes offline) USUALLY in one week. These things may include among others: recipes, fandom stuff, interesting articles or artwork. This time it’s several weeks worth of stuff, because I’ve been scattered and not organized enough 😛

  • Honestly, red is so not my colour, but I still want this Deadpool purse. Isn’t it amazing?
  • Sometimes food photography becomes true art. I quite enjoy many photos taken by this lovely photographer. Her photos usually have very simple compositions that often tell a story for me. Recently I especially loved this Onion Skin Floral Composition. To me it looked as if a vibrant pearl was being peeled out of the covers 😀
  • I am not quite sure why exactly, but I do need this Glow-in-the-Dark Constellation Dress. Wouldn’t it be amazing to walk around with this on a summer night?
  • A professional sushi chef reviews cheap take away sushi 😀 Oh dear, this was so funny!
  • I found this fascinating blog (in Estonian only, sorry) that collects fragments of Estonian history in the form of post cards, letters, photographs, packaging, book take outs etc. It gives tiny glimpsed back to who we are and were and I especially love the fragments about long gone specific people whom I know nothing other about than perhaps they one day in their life sent a post card or posed for a photograph. It’s pretty cool.
  • Amazing cover with a hilarious video 😀
  • This Chicken and Dumplings Casserole sounds exactly like the type of comfort food I need right now… but which I should probably avoid 😦
  • Ok, next link is NOT SAFE FOR WORK! So be careful 😀 Bad Dragon is a company that sells fantasy themed sex toys xD Some of them look really cool and I am totally into the idea :p
  • Can I get this cake for my next birthday?
  • Awwww look at these super adorable bunny shaped bags 😀
  • I need a new spatula, because I managed to burn my current one when I accidentally turned on the wrong heating pad on my stove. I think this Deadpool one would be the perfect replacement xD

This is a post of interesting things I’ve found online (and sometimes offline) in one week. These things may include among others: recipes, fandom stuff, interesting articles or artwork.

  • These Origami Bird Lights by Umut Yamac are so cool. I especially like that they  can rock back and forth.
  • A Japanese love song for Magicarp/Koikingu aka “the weakest pokemon” ever 😛  It’s an adorable song with a super catchy tune.
  • This Summer Corn Soup with Shrimp sounds like the perfect dish for cold August evenings.  Maybe one day I will get over my fear of preparing shrimp so I can make it.
  • A cool tutorial how to draw a zucchini using the salt technique with watercolours. I might give it a try sometime.
  • I really want to eat this potato and eggs hash.
  • I might make this Thai vermicelli noodle salad this week. Sound like a tasty and light dinner idea.
  • I really  like this No Man’s Sky parody song xD It’s based on a song from “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and it’s hilarious. Boyfriend has been playing the game next to me for the past week, so the connections between this song and his ranting are funny.

This is a post of interesting things I’ve found online (and sometimes offline) in one week. These things may include among others: recipes, fandom stuff, interesting articles or artwork.

  • A trailer for “American Gods.” I am so excited over this! 😀 The trailer looks promising at least.
  • Mew music video for Wagakki Band – “Strong Fate.” For a long time I found no good music coming from Japan, so this band was an exciting find for me. I truly adore the use of traditional instruments in their songs. Also the visials in their music videos are so beautiful.
  • Hello, my name is Annika and I am a coffee addict 😀 I laughed quite a bit  at this video “If Coffee Commercials Were Honest.” It does have quite a bit of truth in it though.
  • A cool rap song commercial for Nissin Cup Noodles. The animation style is fantastic!
  • Someone gift me this Star Trek 50th Anniversary 3000pc Puzzle, please? 😀

Cool things I found while wasting time online #16

This is a post of interesting things I’ve found online (and sometimes offline) in one week. These things may include among others: recipes, fandom stuff, interesting articles or artwork.

This time it’s several weeks’ worth of things, because stuff happened 😛 And because stuff happened, there really isn’t that much in the list 😛

  • So the trailer for “The Girl With All the Gifts” is out and oh boy does it look promising 😀 I really loved the book, so I am hoping the movie will be good 😀
  • These Skinny Watermelon Margaritas look so pretty and delicious. Someone, please, make them for me? 😀
  • I need to make this Skillet Crispy Lemon Chicken with White Wine Sauce, because lemony crispy chicken? Heck yeah! I don’t have a skillet tho…
  • These Baked Sea Salt and Pepper Potato Chips look so much better than any packaged potato chip ever has. I’ve never made my own potato chips and I am hesitant to try, but this recipe seems simple enough. Perhaps, perhaps.
  • How’s this for a creative cocktail? :O
  • A hilarious Japanese commercial for HeartStone 😀 It probably doesn’t make much sense if you don’t know about the etiquette in Japanese corporate culture, but eh, let’s just say that  a Japanese boss won’t be bowing to a mere secretary in passing :p Unless she is superior to him in HeartStone that is :p
  • I need this Chocolate and Pear Brownie Pie so badly. Maybe If I’ve been good with eating and excercise this week, I’ll make it as a treat.

Temptations… 20. July 2016

 Coffee and a banana

Wheat porridge with different seeds and honey

A cappuccino and a slice of salmon quiche

Chicken soup. I added some sour cream into it a bit later.

Another banana with some peanut butter

*

I went out for a walk with Kerttu during the day. It was a good opportunity to try out Pokémon GO, that just launched in Estonia, and finally go check out Snikt– a local comic book store. Pokémon GO is pretty fun albeit slightly confusing on the mechanics side. I think I shall be going out for walks more often from now on xD

Going to Snikt was a big mistake, because it sells amazing stuff and I want it all D: I think I know where my monthly “free use money” will go from now on. The owner is a super cool guy as well and we had a blast talking with him.

I ended giving in to the temptation and bought this Deadpool Corps shirt 😀 It’s so awesome!
