Rye bread with salted salmon, raspberry quark smoothie.

A fennel pastry, some orange, almonds and pistachios.

Fried pork with coleslaw salad, some tomato and garlic sprouts.

Coffee, fried veggies with chicken and pine nuts.

26. February

An apple and some peanut butter.

Some watermelon.

Chicken soup with sour cream.

Nettle smoothie.

27. February

Coffee, steamed green beans with mayo and a beetroot patty.

Miso soup with wakame and konnyaku noodles.

Some carrots.

A semla with cream cheese and lingonberry jam from Killuke Kooki.

Celery-arugula soup with sour cream and a slice of rye bread.

28. February

Coffee, celery-arugula soup with sour cream.

Some carrots, walnuts and cheese-seaweed snacks I shared with hubby.

Japanese style minced meat curry with sour cream and pearl barley.

1. March

Coffee, Japanese style minced meat curry with sour cream.

Greek yoghurt with puffed millet, chia seeds and coconut flakes.

Carrot soup with sour cream.

2. March

Had three pieces of this strawberry chewy candy. Very yummy!

Boiled chicken, some tomatoes, avocado and carrot soup with sour cream.

Hubby opened a pack of plum chewing candies. I had a piece. It was kind of boring tasting and not particularly chewy at all.

3. March

Some walnuts, pine nuts and a pineapple-spinach-cucumber smoothie.

Coffee, fried tofu with bok choy and egg.

18. February

Coffee, strawberry quark.

Some nettle-kale-lime granola. Tasted too sweet.

Vegetable stuffed meatloaf with mushroom sauce and some salad.

Smoothie with chia seeds and a bit of tuna sandwich.

Rice with salted egg and some salad with a soft-boiled egg.

19. February – Battle Angel Alita

Coffee, soy yoghurt with blueberries.

Some almonds and pistachios.

Rassolnik soup.

Matcha latte, pork-kimchi stew, some rice and a couple of kimchi mandus @ Gotsu.

We went to see “Alita: Battle Angel” (2019) with hubby, because he is a fan of the original manga/anime. I loved the film! It was fun and interesting and so well made. Some people bitch about the huge android eyes, but I loved them a lot and I think they suited the character. Totally recommend the experience.

20. February

Toasted hazelnut rye bread and salmon + coffee. Look how magical my coffee looks!

Buckwheat with beef stroganoff and beetroot salad.

Some apple and orange.

A bacon and egg sandwich.

21. February

Some apple and peanut butter.

A milk and chocolate snack and some tuna.

Coffee and some sunflower seeds.

Creamy brown champignon, bean and potato miso soup with nori shreds. The original recipe called for shiitake, but I didn’t find any 😦 The soup was still very delicious!.

22. February

Some peanut butter, apple and a dried fig.

Dinner at Frank with Josie: I had a buddha bowl with salmon and a very thick avocado smoothie.

23. February

Instant grits with bacon and some pickled cucumber.

Some carrots.

A tuna onigiri from Yui.

Bacon, pickled cucumber and a slice of toasted hazelnut bread.

Smoothie: banana, apple, almond milk and linseed.

24. February

Coffee, two soft-boiled eggs and some salted salmon.

Some cauliflower.

More coffee, soba noodles with wakame.

A taco with baked chicken, avocado and champignons.

11. February

Oatmeal porridge with honey and chia seeds.

Some carrots.

Minced meat soup with sour cream.

Rye bread with butter.

Salad with salted egg and boiled beef tongue.

12. February

Greek yoghurt with blueberries and honey.

Some orange and a dark chocolate-pistachio nut bar.

Pork, baked potatoes, coleslaw salad and some rucola.

An “affogato…” I was expecting a tiny treat, but instead got a giant cup of ice cream and coffee. Oh well.

13. February

Berry smoothie and hazelnut rye bread with boiled beef tongue.

A semla (stuffed with red currant jam)

Chicken soup with sour cream.

Dinner with Marit: banana lassi, chicken dosa with green peas and different sauces @ Banana Leaf. So delicious!

A falooda – a cold dessert with ice cream, chia seeds, vermicelli and milk. A very cool looking dessert and super tasty! I had a hilarious time slurping the noodles through the wide straw xD

14. February

Coffee and toasted hazelnut rye bread.

Some mango and almond-cranberry kit-kat.

Breaded white fish and some salad.

Some apple.

Some potatoes with dip and crappy coffee.

Date night at Washoku Story: matcha latte and daikon salad.

Beef tataki. Epic delicious.

Main course was shabu-shabu 😀

Dessert was matcha cheesecake with matcha ice cream and a matcha cookie with azuki paste.

15. February

Some grapes and crunchy peanut butter.

Coffee, hazelnut rye bread with liver paté and avocado.

More coffee, some salad, steamed green beans and breaded white fish.

16. February

Coffee, nettle rye bread with butter, millet porridge with butter.

A misfortune cookie xD Ouch!

Made some cheap-ass sushi 😀 with sprats!

Different sushi. We had salted salmon, canned tuna, pork cutlets, sprats in oil, avocado, cucumber, kimchi, cream cheese…

Cheesecake and coffee.

17. February

Coffee, nettle rye bread with butter and avocado, oat bran porridge with apple jam and some dragon fruit. First time trying dragon fruit. It didn’t have much of a flavour, but it sure looked pretty.

Soolane ja Krõbe Karu Krõps. Cute looking chips, but not much of an impressive flavour on them. Was worth a try, but that was it.

Black garlic. Too sweet for my likes.

Had a piece of grilled chicken.

Mashed potatoes with veggies and butter.

A pancake with strawberry jam.

Shared these kimchi mandu with hubby. They were delicious!

Hubby brought some chicken spring rolls and spicy shrimp soup for dinner.

This is a post of interesting things I’ve found online (and sometimes offline). These things may include among others: recipes, fandom stuff, interesting articles or artwork. I tried doing this post weekly, but sometimes I was too busy to surf the web or simply didn’t find anything noteworthy the entire week, so now I will post this whenever I finally have something to share 😛

    • Also, how adorable are these colourful somen noodles? It turns out I am a complete sucker for gimmicky food items like that.
    • Have you heard of the sickness of shame? It’s a terrible thing… I know 😦
    • Rainworks is a really cool art project where the art shows itself only when it rains. I am super into the idea.
    • So I have finally been sucked into the madness that is “Welcome to Night Vale” and I am enjoying every nonsensical second of it. I made the mistake of looking at their merch the other day and oh boy do I need this hoodie. And the Night Vale Radio Intern pin too 😀
    • I am craving for potato pancakes like these.
    • I want to make these hot dog tacos for a movie night or something. Too bad “junky” food like this is really not allowed for me anymore… however, there are always cheat days 😀
    • Peanut butter and jelly brownies. Yes please!
