A slice of mushroom-bacon pizza and some chickpea-veggie soup with sour cream.

Almond-cardamom pastry.

10. October – Concert in Helsinki

Yummy blueberry-raspberry yoghurt and a crappy salmon-shrimp salad on our way to Helsinki.

Chicken tofu bowl for lunch. Hubby had beef.

Dinner @ Zetor. I had sautéed reindeer with mashed potatoes, lingonberries and pickles. It was absolutely delicious. The meat was super soft and the flavour lush.

A peanut butter-chocolate chip filled taiyaki. So good!

11. October – Back to Tallinn

Epic buffet on the boat: croissants, mini doughnuts, coffee, beer, bulgur-edamame salad, ham, cold smoked salmon, some tomato and cucumber, pickles, meatballs, beetroot-oatmeal balls, scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, baked salmon. Everything was super good, except the bulgur-edamame salad which was flavourless and the meatballs that were a bit dry.

More coffee, chocolate mousse, vanilla ice cream and chocolate ice cream. I added some strawberry jam which was yummy and bean “crisps” that were not so very good xD

A new place… 6. February 2018

A banana and a banana muffin.

Vegetable soup with walnuts and balsamico.

Sauerkraut soup with pork and barley with a ham sandwich.

A black currant jam semla from Killuke Kooki. So supernova delicious!

Blueberry cake also from Killuke Kooki. Was yummy as well.

I had my first day at my new job… uh, have I even mentioned that I am changing jobs? I don’t remember xD Anyway, I am between changing jobs right now. I was so nervous and stressed out, so I didn’t sleep well for the past few nights and had many horrible dreams (mostly how I messed up at the new place and they fired me on the spot). In my worried and tired state, I forgot my work clothes at home… neatly packed and ready to go by the door. How lame is that??? Thankfully boyfriend was sweet enough to bring them to me.

Anyway, my first day went well. The place wasn’t open to public yet, so I just helped with organising things and washing new equipment. Easy-peasy.

Where do you eat your meals?… 4. February 2018

Five grain porridge with lingonberry-apple jam, some chia seeds and butter.

Moomin shaped marshmallow candies! These were so cute, look at the little Snufkin shaped green candy! Sadly their cute shape was the only good part about these, several of the flavours tasted kind of soapy. Meh.

Sauerkraut soup with barley and pork. I also added some sour cream to this later. So delicious! I don’t know why I don’t make this soup more often.

 A couple of banana muffins.

It kind of bothers me that I almost always eat behind my computer. We do have a dining table, but it’s usually piled full of crap that honestly should not be there and is in general quite hard to access. For instance right now, I would have to climb over a small fold-table and a giant bag full of motorcycle gear to even get to it…

To the wilderness… 23. April 2017

 Coffee and banana muffins

Red currant juice, boiled potatoes, roast pork and some marinated cucumber

Shared this whole hazelnuts Ritter Sport with my boyfriend

*

We drove to Uulu, because firewood needed to be made for the winter. I mostly tagged along so I could get out of the city for a change. I left my family to do the firewood thing and took a long long walk in the nearby woods and the sea-side. In my defence, I really really really don’t like being near chainsaws, so I wouldn’t have been much help with the work anyway. I helped to make the food for the working folk later, so I guess I wasn’t completely useless.

I’m terrible when I am tired… 18-19. Dec 2016

18. December

Coffee, a boiled egg and several minced meat pastries

A cappuccino and I had a couple of bites of the cheesecake

Buckwheat-cabbage stew, fried blood pudding and cucumber salad with sour cream.

I didn’t sleep well the night before, so I was moody and tired for most of the day. We drove back from Pärnu and went to Tondiraba ice-rink, because my brother had his ice-skating group Christmas party/show there. I was a bad big sister and decided to nap in the café instead of watching my little brother dance on ice. I took a proper long nap when we finally got back home… I felt so much better after that. I’m not a very nice person when I am tired.

19. December

Cereal with milk and a cup of coffee

 Buckwheat-cabbage stew

Coffee and a few banana muffins

Salmon sandwiches and a vermouth (?) cocktail

Had one slice of veggie quiche

In the evening, we went to visit our friends Mati and Merle to pick up my cake mould I forgot there the last time we visited. It was originally supposed to be a quick visit, but we ended up staying for hours and just chatting in their kitchen. Was quite lovely.

Packing… 2. July 2016

I made banana muffins. They turned out super chewy, moist and delicious.

Blueberry skyr and some coffee. Skyr is apparently an Icelandic dairy product of some sort. It tasted almost like quark (or kohupiim as we call it in Estonia), just had a thicker consistency and was smoother in texture.

Curried potato soup with sour cream: I also ate about half of the Karelian pastry.
