Garden café and a regular working day… 28-29. May 2017

28. May

Pork marinated with wild garlic, boiled potato with wild garlic butter and some marinated cucumber. I also had a pancake with jam earlier, but forgot to snap a photo.

It was the Pelgulinna Street Festival and one part of the event was people opening one day cafés in their gardens. We went and helped out my mom with hers. We offered grilled lamb, lamb liver and some pork. I also baked some pear-halvah cake and mom sold her homemade jams and salads. We did pretty well 😀 I also managed to sell some of my old books, so yay! Ah and we had live music! My mom’s neighbour lady came and played with her band 😀 It was a good day!

I had one of these miserable days where nothing seemed to go right and bad things kept happening one after the other. Among other things were the fact that I seem to be unable to start on my graduation paper and also that I got really upset over something a friend of mine said and thus ended up feeling miserable and abandoned the entire day.

Thankfully things started looking up in the evening. Boyfriend was sweet enough to bring me take-out noodles, because I was craving them, so that cheered me up a bit and also the great raid we did with my guild in Rift. Take that Salvarola! Ha!

Men! Ugh!… 31. May 2015

Glass noodles with shredded nori and sour cream

 Coffee, caramel ice cream

A pretty looking salad with edible flowers

Had some of the salad and beer stewed chicken and potatoes with sour cream

 Chocolate cake and coffee

Let me tell you a story about my boyfriend. On Saturday he and his brother went to ride their enduro bikes and he managed to fall and hurt his hand. I was upset over it and thought he should go to the ER just in case. My boyfriend assured me that he had just probably sprained his hand and that it would be okay even without the ER trip. Okay. The next day they went out with their bikes again and in the evening my boyfriend’s brother decided to drag him to the ER anyway. Big surprise: he returned home with his hand in a cast. He had in fact broken one of his knuckle bones.

Now the cherry on top of the cake was when he told me that he had suspected a broken bone all along, but hadn’t wanted to go to ER, because if he had gotten his hand put in a cast earlier, it would have meant that he couldn’t have gone out with his bike again on Sunday. Excuse me!?!?!?! This was the part where I was upset and feeling like flipping tables. Men and their dangerous hobbies and no sense of self-preservation! Ugh, Seriously!

It’s kind of amusing in a way, but… yeah… not really.
