 Jäämari chocolate ice cream

 Chicken soup and some bread

A slice of blueberry-banana cake we shared with Loviise and Indrek

 Baked fish and some salad

 Vanilla kohuke

 Some salted potato chips

I was at work half the day and then we drove to Paldiski with Loviise and my boyfriend to take an overnight boat to Sweden.

25. May

 Cocoa pudding

A couple of sandwiches with cheese and sausage

 Chocolate croissant

Hamburgers and sweet potato fries @ Bastard Burgers

 Plopp and coffee

 Persian food @ Kadbano

Nomnom. Sadly, I have no idea what most of this was as I didn’t order it myself and I couldn’t read the menu anyway. It was delicious though!

Baked tomatoes, chicken and other meats on a stick

Rice with butter and some sauces. The salad was sadly very bitter 😦

 Cake and ice cream

We took Loviise to her horse clinic near Uppsala and then proceeded to just hang out in Uppsala with my boyfriend. We went to Ikea where we bought a bunch of unnecessary stuff with a few useful exceptions xD Then we just walked around the city centre for a long while and visited Museum Gustavianum where they had a lot of ancient Egyptian artefacts on display. I had never seen a real mummy before… it was so cool and it also freaked me out a lot. I mean, one day you die, you get buried and then thousands of years later you end up as a museum exhibit. How fucked up is that? I felt weird taking a photo, because it used to be a real person once, so I didn’t.

Anyway, I had a great time walking around and in the late evening we had dinner at a Persian restaurant together with Loviise and her clinic people. It’s odd to me that horse training sessions are called clinics xD

“maximum effort”… 17-18. May 2017

17. May

 Cocoa pudding

 Cocoa flavoured candies

 Pasta with chicken and mushrooms

 Pancake with mushrooms and bacon

Movie night foods: rice with beef, fruit roll-ups, cumin crackers, veggies with crappy hummus dip, some white wine etc.

I was at work during the day and in the evening, we had a movie night with Miss K and Mall. We watched “Deadpool” which was still awesome as ever 😀

18. May

Coffee, sandwiches with sõir, ham and cucumber

 Chocolate ice cream

Mulk’s porridge (mashed potatoes with pearl barley) with some salad

 Fritz-limo apple-cherry-elderberry lemonade

I spent most of the day sleeping 😀 I tend to sleep most of my days off away 😀 In the late afternoon, I took out the recyclable trash to the collection site, went and picked up a gift candy box from a sweets store, came back home, made dinner and did all the dishes. I’d say it was actually a quite productive day. For my standards at least 😀

Ghost in the Shell… 10-11. April 2017

10. April

 Some cereal with milk

 A slice of rhubarb cake

Mushroom soup with bits of bacon @ Koloniaal

Rice noodles with veggie-smoked tofu sauce. There were only tiny bits of bell pepper in the veggie mix, so I thought it would be okay, but boy was I wrong 😦

 Rye bread with sausage

My second attempt of baking sourdough bread didn’t go too well either. The bread didn’t rise and was too mushy inside again, but this time it had formed some fermentation bubble-holes in it, so I guess it’s some progress at least 🙂 I got some tips from expert bread bakers in the family that I am going to try out next time.

11. April

 Coffee and a cranberry kohuke

Four grain porridge with jam @ Koloniaal

A giant chicken Kiev with some salad @ Koloniaal

Apple juice, a pancake with ham and cheese + sour cream and salad @ Pannkoogimaja. Boyfriend gladly ate all the bellpeper in my salad.

We went to see the “Ghost in the Shell” movie in the evening. I absolutely enjoyed it. It was visually stunning and made me nostalgic for the anime. I am so glad that I saw in on the big screen, because of all the beauty and spectacle in it. Good times 🙂

Forgetting everything… 5. April 2017

Rice with tuna, cabbage, sour cream, soy sauce and black sesame seeds

Spicy tomato soup over tortilla chips with some Kalamaja Vürtsleib (bread made by Paljas Pagar) @ Koloniaal

 Fries @ Diner

Boyfriend had a giant spicy burger

My “naked” burger with salad. We also shared a bottle of Limonaad.

I had work in the morning. Kadi came to hang out in the café near lunch time, which was awesome 😀 She waited for my shift to end so we could catch the same trolleybus home. By that point I was tired and super forgetful about everything, so half way to the trolleybus stop, I remembered that I needed to go pick up my health certificate from the doctor’s office. So, I tortured her poor tired feet and turned us around, walked to the doctor’s office, picked up my certificate, took it back to work… only to find out that I had forgotten to log out of my Spotify account over there and that I had also forgotten my phone charger xD Good thing I went back there I guess xD

Eventually, we did catch the trolleybus 😀 I was dead tired when I got home, so I took a nap. Since I was too groggy to cook dinner later, boyfriend, the sweetheart, took us to Diner for dinner 😀 Which was the greatest thing ever 😀

A day at work, our anniversary and another day at work… 27-29. March 2017

Oh boy, adult life is tiring. I am still getting used to working again, so I have been even more tired lately than usual, so I have either been busy doing stuff or napping and haven’t found a moment to update my blog xD I am a weak human being compared to so many people, whom I know, who get so much more done in their days without a fuss.

Anyway…

27. March – Just a regular day at work. It’s tough waking up 6:30 in the morning, but at the same time I love the morning atmosphere in the café.

Coffee, an apple and a Sakupan Choco Monaka which was cute and yummy.

Fried egg, some bacon, sweet potato fries and salad @ Koloniaal

Chicken soup with sour cream, rye bread with a slice of ham

28. March – I had work in the morning and in the evening, we went out on a date to an Asian fusion restaurant with my love, because it was our 7th anniversary. Lovely times were had and great food was nommed and hopefully we will have many more amazing years together 😀 Some onigiri (with feta cheese, tuna and mayo) and a cup of coffee

Feijoada with minced meat and rice @ Koloniaal. Feijoada is a Portugese style bean stew 🙂

Dinner @ Tai Boh. Pictured are my coconut mojito and boyfriend’s passion fruit mocktail

Appetizers: dim sum (shrimp flavoured) and ming kham (aka one bite wraps with shrimp, peanuts and other stuff)

Boyfriend had a lamb rack with pistachio that was absolutely delicious.

I had tender deer bonsu which was really yummy. I’ve never eaten deer meat before properly, so it was quite an experience. I liked the taste a lot. Also, apparently bonsu refers to the part if the deer I was eating idk.

Dessert was “silk cake” which was divine.

 I also had a cappuccino

 Camera wars 😀

The place had a really cool wacky atmosphere

 Moosivarga nägu 😀

 ♥♥♥

 Mandatory bathroom selfies :p

 Oppan Moomin style 😀

29. March – I was working the evening shift, so I got home maybe around 11pm xD Bf was sweet enough to come and pick me up from work, so I didn’t have to commute back home alone ♥

 Coffee and two cherry pastries

Pasta Bolognese and complimentary bread @ Da Vinci

 Coffee and some zefir

Feijoada with vegan wieners and rice @ Koloniaal. The vegan wieners tasted exactly like the real stuff to which I was surprised xD

Sleepy Saturday… 25. March 2017

 Corn cereal with milk

 A pear

Coffee time with Miss K @ Café Mademoiselle

I had a “naked” burger that was delicious.

Miss K had a risotto with zucchini and sesame seeds. We shared a bit of each other’s food.

Spinach pelmeni with sour cream and some salad

I think I spent most of my Saturday sleeping. I woke up late, puttered around for a bit and made my first ever attempt of baking sourdough rye bread. I think the sourdough starter hadn’t properly kicked in yet, even though I let it sit for over 24 hours. The bread didn’t raise properly and was doughy inside. It did however taste alright. Better luck next time perhaps.

Then I felt sleepy and decided to take a “short” nap, but ended up sleeping for almost 3 hours xD

In the evening, I had a mission to go get cat food from the store and conveniently also organized to meet up with Miss K for some coffee and food too. It was great 😀 However, they guy sitting next to us, reading a book and drinking wine, obviously didn’t appreciate our discussions on eating bugs and maggots and about killing chickens as he kept angrily looking up from his book and glaring at us xD

I ended up going to sleep again super early in the evening. Well, around 11 pm is early for me at least.

It’s official now… 16. March 2017

 Cocoa pudding

A cheese roll and some coffee

Spicy pork sauce with rice noodles, some salad and hemp seed bread @ Koloniaal

Japanese style tofu curry with rice

It’s official now, I have a job at a small café/grocery store/bakery Koloniaal 😀 It’s going to be an adventure! I need to touch up my coffee making skills. I used to be able to do simpler latte art, but now the milk just doesn’t come out quite right… or maybe I don’t pour it the right way. It is frustrating me  alot right now. However, nothing a little practice won’t fix I think :p

I sent a notification about my job to the unemployment agency as well, so that should be done with. I’m so glad I don’t have to endure another session over there even though my new agent seemed a lot more pleasant.
