Blade Runner 2049… 11. October 2017

Coffee and Greek yoghurt with wild berry jam (I ate two of those)

Corn and bean soup with pork and some sour cream

Nuts and seeds in dark chocolate

Rice with tuna, eggs and sesame-wasabi spice

We went to see “Blade Runner 2049” in the evening. Wow, that movie was such a stunning piece of art. I loved the aesthetics and the music. The story too was engrossing and oh so terribly sad. I had a genuinely fantastic movie experience.

Bread progress… 9. October 2017

Quark with raspberries and a cup of coffee.

 Pelmeni with sour cream.

Vegetable and mushroom soup with sour cream.

I made another attempt at baking rye bread. The last time the bread didn’t rise at all and I basically burnt it xD This time it rose nicely and I managed to not burn it. However, it was a bit too moist inside still. I need to buy myself an oven thermometer, because I can’t be sure how hot my oven gets and I think that is a part of the problem why my baking tends to go wrong. Anyway, this is the best rye bread I have managed so far- it actually looks like bread and it tasted good 🙂

Blade Runner… 8. October 2017

Leftover Indian style curry with beef and cashews + rice and a couple of fried eggs. Looks horrid, was delicious.

Shared these two pastries with my boyfriend: a giant quark pastry and a cardamom pastry. They looked might fine, but I didn’t enjoy their flavour very much.

Rice cake with ice cream and pineapple-apple jam + a cup of coffee.

Vegetable and mushroom soup with sour cream.

Homemade white bread with butter. So good! We devoured almost half of the big loaf, I made, in one go XD

We watched the 1982 “Blade Runner” movie in the evening. I had never seen it, despite having read about the movie and its significance in so many research papers and pop culture analysis. I had read Philip K. Dick’s “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” and it was thrilling to me to spot all the familiar things from the book. I really enjoyed the entire aesthetic of the movie and the story too. I was, however, amused at the OH SO awkward acting, but eh xD Good movie, am excited to see the sequel to it now on big screen soon.

Have you seen the old and/or new “Blade Runner” movie(s)? Did you enjoy them? 😀
