Greek yoghurt with kiwifruit, banana and chia seeds.

Coffee and pistachio nuts in dark chocolate.

Minced meat soup with sour cream.

Sauerkraut patties with mayo, salted salmon and some salad.

5. March

Smoothie made with kiwifruit, banana, apple and chia seeds.

A delicious semla, cheese baked chicken and some salad.

Coffee, almond pastry.

More coffee and a very disappointing semla.

Sauerkraut patties with sour cream.

6. March

Coffee, seed bread with salted salmon.

Coffee and another delicious semla, because I was so angry at the crappy one I ate the previous evening.

Tried a slice of sweet ricotta bread. So delicious!

And another semla and more coffee.

Mashed cauliflower and green peas with baked chicken in spicy sauce.

7. March

Some sort of nut bar.

Blueberries, kiwifruit and peanut butter.

A dried fig, boiled egg and some tomatoes.

Coffee, rye bread with salted salmon.

Hmm, I seem to be missing my dinner photo. I had quinoa soup.

Coffee, buckwheat porridge with tuna.

A latte and maracuja and coconut bar.

Again, dinner pic missing. I had quinoa soup and rye bread with salted salmon and avocado.

Salty yuzu flavoured instant noodles.

Cauliflower and eggplant with konnyaku rice, sour cream and rye bread.

Some chocolates.

29. October

Coffee and doughnuts. Shared the doughnuts with Kadi.

Instant noodles.

Blood sausages and salad with edible flowers.

A marron glacé I bought in Catalonia. The texture was interesting.

30. October

Baked potatoes with Chinese cabbage, mushrooms and blue cheese.

Roasted corn and some chestnuts I took to work to share. The corn is epic delicious, but the chestnuts were a bit of a disappointment. I expected the chestnuts to be crunchy, because the package said they were peeled and toasted, but instead they were soaked in something and soft. Oh well.

I forgot to take a pic of dinner. I had a tuna cutlet with some salad.

Sister came for a visit and brought some ice cream.

31. October

Some freshly squeezed juice, coffee and a kama-black currant smoothie bowl with yoghurt, granola and fruit.

Chicken-cauliflower lasagna (I had some leftover scraps) and salad.

Rice cereal with milk and a quark pastry.

1. November

Kama-black currant smoothie bowl with yoghurt, granola and fruit.

Eggplant curry and brown rice.

Spinach pancakes and some salad with edible flowers and marinated pumpkin.

2. November

Coffee, some rye bread with butter.

Tuna pie with coleslaw salad.

Half a spinach pancake, a slice of tuna pie, some marinated pumpkin and vegetable soup with leafy greens.

A lemon mantecado. It’s a type of very crumbly shortbread that is usually made using pig fat. Delicious and the texture was super funny, reminding me of powdered sugar when it crumbled.

3. November

A peach kefir dessert.

Coffee, baked apple smoothie (shared with hubby) and tuna sandwiches. The smoothie was tasty. I don’t dislike cinnamon the way I used to anymore and find myself actually enjoying the taste on occasion.

Shared some snacks with hubby: Apple Cramel Yakkoi Sable (from Aomori prefecture) and a Sweet Potato Galette (from Osaka). The chewy sable was really yummy and so was the sweet potato cookie. It was adorable how the sweet potato cookie looked like an actual slice of Japanese sweet potato.

Dadu Moonlight Black ice cream 😀 This was cool looking and yummy! The ice cream was cherry flavoured.

Lamb stomach and other innards soup with sour cream and parsley. Good stuff! And some rye bread with butter.

White bread with beef liver paté.

Slow cooked beef, mashed potatoes and carrots with beef gravy and some marinated cucumber.

Banana bread with dried cranberries.

Delicious raspberry cake.

4. November

Coffee, rice porridge and some banana bread.

Raspberry cake.

Sandwiches with beef sausage and marinated cucumber.

Coffee, slow cooked beef, baked potatoes and marinated cucumber.

Shared with hubby some ice coffee chocolate sandwich cookies (from Saitama prefecture). They were really tasty.

Duck flavoured Cup Noodles. A nostalgic taste for me.

Some melissa tea and pumpkin pancakes.

13. August – meeting up with Anna

Two ham sandwiches.

Cocktails and beer @ NOK NOK with Anna. My cocktail was called Foxtail and it consisted of whisky, pumpkin, carrot, pineapple and ginger. It was delicious.

Laab Gai (spicy chicken salad with mint, roasted rice powder and red onion) and I had a few bites of Anna’s Som Tom Thai (raw papaia salad with shrimp, peanuts and tamarind sauce).

Soymilk pudding with fruit salad. The food was simply delicious and the service exemplary 😀

Oven omelette with mushrooms, tomato and eggplant + some cucumber salad.

14. August – playing with glass

Leftover oven omelette with mushrooms, tomato and eggplant.

Some candy. I went to a glass workshop with Kadi which was super fun. It was cool to learn how to cut glass etc.

Hazelnut ice cream. Kadi had a cherry popsicle.

Seafood risotto and some salad.

15. August

Beetroot soup with sunflower seeds and a cheese pastry.

Rye bread with garlic butter.

Oven omelette, rye bread with butter and some salad.

Shared with hubby: orange cake (that was yummy) and a lemon flavoured twice-baked slice of baguette (which was also tasty).

More shared goodies: a delicious crunchy senbei and some rich orange biscuits that tasted okay.

16. August

A cheese pastry.

Some delicious rye bread.

A pastry with red currant jam.

Magnum double peanut butter chocolate.

Baked potatoes and chicken with some cucumber.

Shared snacks with hubby: Strawberry Pukupukutai (cute and yummy!), soybean rice crackers (I loved the crackers, wasn’t a fan of the included peanuts), honey castella cake (this was weird and moist, but tasty I guess), chocolate-banana cookie (that was okay).

17. August – meeting up with Eva

Tuna-cottage cheese pie and some salad.

Hazelnut pastry, cheese roll and some coffee.

Dinner with Eva @ NOK NOK. Started with some cocktails. Mine was called Golden Emerald and it consisted of rum, lime, green apple, cucumber and matcha. It was super tasty and refreshing.

We shared a Som Tom Thai (raw papaia salad with shrimp, peanuts and tamarind sauce) and Gae Tod Prik Thai Dum (crispy fried lamb with black pepper sauce). The rice was complimentary with the dishes.

Then I had Tom Yum Goong (spicy prawn and mushroom soup) that was super spicy and great.

18. August

Tuna sandwich.

Coffee and fig in chocolate.

Instant noodles with sour cream.

Sour and spicy soup with quinoa and mushrooms.

Some grapes.

19. August

Porridge with strawberry jam.

An orange lollypop.

A beef burger. The burger itself was good but was ruined by the bbq sauce they added as it overwhelmed all tastes.

Nuts and seeds in dark chocolate.

Coffee, figs in chocolate.

Sour and spicy soup with quinoa and mushrooms.

Coffee and beef jerky.

Ice cream.

Brown rice with eggplant-tomato sauce and some tomatoes.

Quinoa with smoked chicken and veggies.

4. July

Tuna salad.

Couscous, carrot cutlets with some carrots and tomatoes.

Coffee and a couple of black currant-chocolate pastries.

Fish pastry.

Sour and spicy quinoa-mushroom soup.

Beer and crispy pork rinds.

Potato chips.

5. July

Sour and spicy quinoa-mushroom soup.

Carrot-orange juice and black currant-chocolate pastries.

Avocado salad with a poached egg.

Dark cherry ice cream.

Hubby made dinner: fried rice with beef and green peas.

Cheese-wasabi cookies.

Shared some snacks with hubby: dark chocolate cookie (this was yummy), Matcha cream cookie (this was okay), red bean paste cookie (this was good too), cream cheese and chocolate cookie (which was delicious too).

6. July

Coffee and a cinnamon bun.

Tuna pie and some salad.

Coffee and peach-quark cake.

Iced mocha.

Cheese roll.

Fried rice with beef and green peas.

7. July

Coffee, wrap with ham, bacon and potatoes.

Raspberry-beetroot-black currant smoothie.

Patsa Bolognese.

Vegan chocolate cake that was dry and not very good.

Some strawberries.

Mini Tosca cakes.

Grilled meat, boiled potatoes, some salad and bread.

A bit of grilled corn. Didn’t eat much, because it was dry and not very good.

8. July

Porridge and coffee.

Coffee, some chocolates and sticky citrus candy.

Alcohol free beer, grilled salmon with fries and salad.

More fries with ketchup.

Gummy-bears and coffee.

Work and fun… 12. May 2018

 Coffee, puffed wheat with milk.

 Chili sin carne with some salad and a boiled egg. Also had some water and cherry kombucha.

 Coconut-banana pastry.

 Some after work work while I waited for Marit @ Gelato Ladies. They make a very delicious ice cream coffee.

 I had a scoop of avocado ice cream and a scoop of kiwifruit-banana ice cream.

 Cranberry juice with lime and mint @ Popular

 Potato bites with sour cream. These were supposed to be potato croquettes, and I expected something handmade, not prefabricates :/ Marit wasn’t happy with her jalapeno poppers either, because they were cream cheese nuggets instead that were mildly jalapeno flavoured.

 Coffee and an éclair from Pavlova.

 Porridge with pumpkin seeds, beef jerky and butter. Also had a cup of coffee.

 Chili sin carne with brown rice and some carrot.

 Coconut-banana pastry.

 Lay’s oven baked yoghurt and herbs flavoured potato chips.

 Chili sin carne with brown rice and sour cream. Had another cup of coffee.

 Coffee, grilled ham and cheese sandwich.

 Ice cream.

 Salad 1. It had falafel in it somewhere.

 Salad 2. I shared the salads with my hubby.

 Soba noodle soup.

As the caption on the ice cream photo, I think I hurt myself with work at the food fair. My shoulder started hurting again 😦 I spent most of the day lounging on the couch and napping. I still felt too bad to cook in the evening, so we ordered in some salad and soup.
