Blade Runner 2049… 11. October 2017

Coffee and Greek yoghurt with wild berry jam (I ate two of those)

Corn and bean soup with pork and some sour cream

Nuts and seeds in dark chocolate

Rice with tuna, eggs and sesame-wasabi spice

We went to see “Blade Runner 2049” in the evening. Wow, that movie was such a stunning piece of art. I loved the aesthetics and the music. The story too was engrossing and oh so terribly sad. I had a genuinely fantastic movie experience.

Lambic beer evening… 7. October 2017

A cup of coffee and Ritter Sport chocolate with crispy corn flakes.

I went and had cake with my little brother @ Ristikheina Kohvik. He had a banana-chocolate cake and I had a cherry cake.

Alfred also had an ice cream cocktail with apple juice and I had a freshly pressed mixed juice.

In the evening I went to a dinner even with my boyfriend at Koloniaal. The first course was shrimp-avocado cocktail. Every course was accompanied by a different lambic beer.

 My date ♥

Cheese croquettes with cherry sauce. One of the croquettes had bacon in it, the other one was regular.

Buttery white fish with boiled potatoes. The fish was great!

Stewed rabbit with broccoli. The rabbit was super tender and yummy.

Rice cake with ice cream and jam. I loved the cake a lot.

Doughnuts and cake… 27. September 2017

 Coffee and two chocolate doughnuts

 Some carrots

 Spicy soup with corn

Coffee and cake! Kadi came to visit and brought cake, one of them was with banana and the other was a passion fruit cheesecake. So delish!

Leftover casserole with rice, potatoes and eggs. Some cherry tomatoes on the side too.

Getting things off my chest… 14. September 2017

Salmon and egg bagel and salted cucumber from a convenience store and a cup of hot lovely coffee.

A couple of tangerine candies. I got these from Candy Japan and I was absolutely thrilled about how cute they were and how good they tasted.

 Beetroot latte.

Clear vegetable soup with minced meat and a dollop of sour cream + some coriander bread.

 A couple of apples.

Dinner with boyfriend. I had another beetroot latte and we shared some sweet potato fries.

 A pancake with honey.

 A chocolate pastry.

I have been unhappy with my work lately. I mean, I still enjoy the actual work part, I am just tired of running against walls and minor problems not getting solved for months and then us, the people behind the counter, getting blamed for things going wrong even though we have no control over any of it. It has been frustrating and stressful. I got the owners involved now, so hopefully all parties will get their proper say and changes will be made. If not, then… I will be very very sad.

A long day full of stuff… 6. September 2017

Salmon bagel from a convenience store for breakfast. It’s probably full of all sorts of crap that is bad for you, but I like it and was craving for it.

 Chicken pasta

Pancake stuffed with banana slices and a cup of coffee

Work was nice, because Marit and Kadi came to hang out with me in the café for a while 🙂
After work I went to my parent’s place to help my mom carry some stuff to storage. Tont came to help too. When we were done, my mom fed us dinner:

 Vegetable stew with sour cream

A divine pastry cream filled profiterole and some coffee

I passed by the café that sold these profiteroles at the Uue Maailma Street festival when I was walking to my parent’s place and got the urge to check if they sold them in their café too. They did and I got some, because SOGOOD!

Uue Maailma Street Festival… 2. September 2017

I went and walked around the Uue Maailma Street Festival with Kerttu. This year the festival was on a considerably bigger area than usual which was kind of nice as it wasn’t as crowded. There were so many awesome artisans and artists taking part of the event and it hurt that I had a limited budget to spend. At some point, I called Indrek to complain about my distress: “Help, I want to buy things!” Some lady almost choked on her cake laughing at my exclamation xD

I didn’t snap many photos this year, as I got some annoying work messages and frankly I was in a bad mood after that, so I put away my camera. This is the crappy part of being constantly online and connected to everything. But whatever, we got a lot of lovely food and it was great none the less.

 Churros!

Kerttu got me a unicorn shaped macaron. It was cute and delicious 😀

A little girl was selling these cute chocolate cookie sticks, so I got us two. They were yummy.

Nettle soup with sour cream. This hit the spot as it was kind of chilly and started to rain.

A profiterole that was filled with huge amounts of divine pastry cream. It was so lush and tasty that I immediately regretted not buying more of these.

More churros for dinner and a huge cup of coffee.

When I got home from the festival, I took a long nap and in the evening my mom called and invited us to come and check out the temporary apartment where they live while their house is being renovated.

Sorrel soup with sour cream that my mom made. My mom’s cooking is still the best.

Some photos from the festival:
