Oshee vitamin water magnesium + B6

 Bread pudding with milk

 Pasta with salmon

Triple chocolate cake 8D So delish!

In the evening, we went to listen to Professor Brian Cox with Indrek and Loviise. It was really fascinating, I learned quite a few interesting things about the beginning of the universe and life itself that I hadn’t even known to be curious about before. It was also a fun show, because a comedian named Robin Ince came and poked fun of Professor Cox and science itself as interludes. After the show, we went home and had cake. Good day.

15. June

12. June

I went second-hand shopping with a girl from work. We also got some stuff for work, so it was a semi-business outing I guess xD

 Magus Mull apple-lemon lemonade

Sweet potato fries, boiled eggs, fried bacon, some water kimchi

 Rhubarb cake

 Pasta with bacon and mushrooms

 Cheese roll (I ate 3 of those :s )

It was a funny story with the rhubarb cake. Some people came to the café and asked if they could eat their own cake there if they bought drinks from me. Apparently, a grandfather had come to visit his grandkids from Saaremaa and had brought them the cake from grandmother. Now I know it’s generally considered a no-no to go to a food establishment with your own food, but first of all, how could I deny people a chance to eat their grandmother’s cake in a comfy setting? And secondly, I could have either turned them away and sold less coffee that day or let them eat their cake and sell more coffee. I think the latter was only logical. Also, I got a slice of cake too and wow, that was some delicious rhubarb cake indeed. Good work, grandmother from Saaremaa.

Good job :D … 1-2. June 2017

The cheese tasted like wood too, but in a good way 😀

 Some ice cream

Garden café and a regular working day… 28-29. May 2017

28. May

Pork marinated with wild garlic, boiled potato with wild garlic butter and some marinated cucumber. I also had a pancake with jam earlier, but forgot to snap a photo.

It was the Pelgulinna Street Festival and one part of the event was people opening one day cafés in their gardens. We went and helped out my mom with hers. We offered grilled lamb, lamb liver and some pork. I also baked some pear-halvah cake and mom sold her homemade jams and salads. We did pretty well 😀 I also managed to sell some of my old books, so yay! Ah and we had live music! My mom’s neighbour lady came and played with her band 😀 It was a good day!

 Nomnoms

 Guests 😀

 Grill-master

 Asjapulk

 Music!

Welcome sign. I drew the logo girl for mom 😀 It was only an idea sketch initially, but mom already put it in use. It still needs some proper work xD

29. May

Coffee and a couple of pears

Beer stewed pork, mashed potatoes and some salad

Avocado sandwich (had 2 throughout the day)

 An apple

Fried egg, bacon, sweet potato fries and salad

Making Mud Angels… 12-13. May 2017

12. May

 Raspberry kohuke and coffee

And a couple of rum pastries

 Cherry pastry

Rice stew with sausage and some salad @ Koloniaal

 Banana-avocado-black sesame seed smoothie

Eggs and asparagus on kefir bread with some cucumber salad

I had a difficult day at work, because my neck and my right shoulder were hurting a lot when I moved. It was a pain operating the coffee machine and I kept dropping things when my hand went slack from sudden pain. Thankfully it wasn’t a very busy day, so I could sit and rest on one of the couches in the café quite a bit.

13. May

Quinoa salad with chicken and sun dried tomatoes

 A banana

A sandwich with elk paté, tomato and chives; another sandwich with feta cheese and beef ham

Another sandwich with cheese, cucumber and tomato

Crappy French fries and smoked chicken leg that I didn’t finish

 Kohuke

Cocoa and a sandwich with ham and fried egg

My boyfriend took part of Oro 4×4 Offroad 2017. I tagged along to hang out with Loviise near the track and to take photos of the event… however, I did bring my camera, but forgot the camera battery at home D: Really lame, because this event would have made some really nice muddy shots. Anyway, here are some crappy phone photos instead:

 Birch grove

 Froggy 😀

 MUD SPLASH

 Brõnn

 Clay figurines

Little piggy stuck in the mud 😀

 Mud rain incoming!

More birch trees. I am awful fond of birch trees.

My boyfriend got “a bit” muddy XD

Speaking of my aching neck and shoulder, they were hurting quite a bit still in the morning, but the pain was almost gone by the evening. So yay, it wasn’t a sign of an upcoming illness at least 🙂

Circle K… 3. May 2017

Duck salad with noodles from Circle K

 Pasta carbonara @ Koloniaal

 Jäämari lime-coconut popsicle

Scrambled eggs with leftovers from yesterday + some salad

I guess we officially have a convenience store in Estonia now. Most of the Circle K shops used to be Statoil gas stations before and Circle K bought them, so now we have Circle K shops that don’t have a gas station attached to them as well. I suppose the Statoil stores had been turning into convenience stores already over the years, but people usually still thought of them as gas stations rather than convenience stores.

Sawdust… 1. May 2017

Coffee, rum pastries and a banana

Meat pastries that my grandmother made

Coffee, more meat pastries and a couple of boiled eggs

 Chocolate ice cream

Pubert with red currant kissel. Pubert is hard to explain, I think it’s whipped up semolina porridge with eggs, milk and sugar. Kissel is juice boiled and thickened with starch.

We were in Pärnu again working on firewood for next winter. I helped this time too. I loaded an entire van with tree logs.

 Sawdust, it was everywhere!
