I was supposed to go museum-tripping with Kadi, but the weather was bad in the morning, so we decided to postpone it to some nicer day. Instead, I cleaned the apartment a bit and ran some errands. At some point Marit called me and I ended up hanging out with her for a few hours. Then a trip to my favourite second-hand store where I found myself another skirt, a cardigan and a cute pendant. The rest of the day was spent napping xD I truly am embracing my inner cat these days.

[Recipe.] Banana Bread with Raspberries

This banana bread is awesomely moist and the raspberries add a pinch of tartness to the overall sweet taste 🙂 Technically, I’ve made a version of this banana bread with and without the raspberries and one time I made it with pumpkin puree and nuts instead. So if you wish, you can leave out the raspberries or substitute them with whatever suits your fancy 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 235 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Half a tsp cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 ml of olive oil
  • 3 big ripe bananas
  • 200 g of raspberries

Directions:

Shift the flour into a bowl through a sieve, add baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

Whisk the eggs and the sugar into a thick foam with a mixer. It will take about 10 minutes in a medium setting to get the proper result. Add the oil and stir it in.

Mash the bananas with a fork and add them to the egg mixture. Then, add in the flour bit by bit while mixing gently. Finally, tenderly stir in the raspberries without breaking them too much.

Set the oven to 175°C and bake for 1 hour. Keep an eye on the bread during the last 15 minutes and if you think it’s starting to brown too much, you can cover it with aluminium foil to stop it from happening. Poke the cake with a toothpick and when it comes out clean it’s ready 🙂

Let it cool before serving. Enjoy!

Kong… 14. March 2017

A banana and soured milk pancake; oatmeal porridge with pumpkin seeds, butter and honey

 A vanilla kohuke

Fried potatoes with eggs, boiled sausages and some marinated cucumber

I spent the day with Miss K shopping at my favourite second-hand store which went really well as I found myself 5 new dresses, new leggings and a skirt 😀 Plus, the company for the usually tedious task of shopping was great too. In the evening we went to see “Kong: Skull Island” with her which was an amazing monster movie 😀 It was visually stunning and in general really good entertainment. Also, my very first reaction I had in the beginning of the movie was kind of hilarious to me. I turned to my friend two minutes into the movie and went: “Wait, is that… Miyavi?!?!?” And behold, it was xD So, the movie had pretty men to look at (Miyavi and Tom Hiddleston) and giant monsters fighting visually epic battles. Also, a certain scene with an octopus made me crave for sushi xD Good movie, go see it when you get a chance 🙂
