[what I ate.] 3 – 9. September 2018

3. September

Porridge with strawberry jam.

Handmade chocolates that I got from the Uue Maailma street festival. One was apple-cinnamon and the other coconut. I didn’t fancy the apple-cinnamon very much. The coconut one was good, albeit a bit dry.

Smoked chicken-konnyaku noodle wok with veggies.

4. September

Vegetable soup and rye bread with butter.

Rice with smoked chicken, vegetables and sour cream. Also had some pickles.

A slice of almond flour banana-chocolate cake.

5. September

A marzipan roll and coffee.

Salmon pasta.

Rye bread with butter and salmon pasta mixed with leftover rice from last night.

Ruby cocoa Kit Kat I shared with husband.

6. September

Different roasted beans. A nice snack.

Pumpkin soup with sour cream and pumpkin seeds.

A cheese roll.

White tea with raspberry, apple and lemon.

Spicy and sour soup with quinoa, mushrooms and sour cream. Also had two more cheese rolls.

Coffee, kabosu shortbread cookie and white chocolate-puffed rice-grape snack I shared with hubby. The kabosu, which is a type of citrus fruit, cookie was yummy, but the grape snack tasted horrible to me, so hubby ate it all. I really do not enjoy the red grape flavour in snacks.

Look how cute the kabosu cookie looked.

7. September

Green pea-cauliflower soup with seeds.

A smoothie bowl made from a banana, kiwi fruit, spinach and coconut milk. Topped with more banana, some pomegranate seeds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.

Sour and spicy soup with quinoa, mushrooms and sour cream. Also had a cheese pastry and some onion-turmeric bread.

8. September – a literature street festival

Coffee and a coconut-banana pastry.

Goat milk chocolate ice cream.

Fish and chips.

Flatbread with edamame hummus and wasabi sprouts; couscous salad.

Plum gummies.

I spent most of the day with Kadi at a literature festival in Kadriorg. It was a super good time and I got some nice books. We also went to a gourmet market at a nearby grocery store where I got the sprouts and edamame hummus. A day well spent.

9. September

Leftover couscous salad and a couple of fried eggs.

Ham and boletus pasta and some soup.

Some figs in chocolate and a half of this Kinder Bueno chocolate.

My good day out with a friend yesterday was followed by me falling ill D:

I am going to change the format of my food project a bit… 9-10. June 2018

I have had a bit of a blogging crisis AGAIN lately as you have perhaps noticed. I like my food photo project, but it annoys me that I can’t seem to keep up the daily posting. For a while I considered just abandoning the project altogether, but then decided against it. Instead I will try to make weekly posts and see how that will work. Then perhaps I will find motivation to blog about other things as well, because right now I have always lost interest in doing anything else after I have managed to complete my daily food post.

So, I will catch up with my posts and from then on, I will do my food posts on Mondays.

9. June – Sweeney Todd

We drove to Southern Estonia for the weekend. First, we stopped by at Ly and Raul’s place to celebrate Raul’s birthday. There was loads of food xD In the evening we went to Tartu and saw “Sweeney Todd- Fleet Streeti Põrgulik Pardur” at Vanemuise Teater which was fantastic! The lighting and costumes were fabulous and I wholeheartedly enjoyed every minute of the performance.

There was coffee, a cheese pastry and an almond pastry.

One of these strawberry pastries.

Grilled pork and some salad.

Sweet cherries and strawberries.

Salmon pizza.

Black currant cake.

Coffee and Mrs. Lovette’s meat pie XD

10. June

We hung out in Karula for most of the day where Indrek helped Loviise build some horse jumping obstacles and I helped her to film one of her horses. In the evening we drove back to Tallinn.

Coffee, fried eggs and some tomatoes.

Super delicious homemade beef burger that Agu served us. So yum!

Some vanilla ice cream.

Flea market… 26. May 2018

Roast beef salad with “kimchi” and a lavash roll with veggies and tuna.

Ice creams: avocado-lime sorbet, chocolate brownie, chocolate-banana and raspberry prosecco sorbet.

Fried eggs with orzo in tomato sauce and sour cream.

Grilled bacon and some rice salad.

Cheese bun with beef paté.

We went and got sunburnt at a flea market. It felt good getting rid of old junk. Not so good getting sunburned however.

Exploding Kittens… 21. April 2018

 Fried eggs and broccolini.

Coffee and a grilled sandwich with ham, cheese and tomato.

Kadi and Kerttu were over and we had some fun by assembling Japanese DIY candy kits. I’m glad I was feeling healthy again, because it would have been such a bummer to cancel the event. After the candy we played Exploding Kittens, a card game, for a while and it was very fun 😀

This one was a cute one 😀 We pushed some soft candy into molds and made some adorable candy veggies. They tasted good too.

Foam candies with nonpareils and chocolate sauce. The green one was melon flavoured and the pink one was cherry. These flavours were one of the best ones out of different ones I’ve tried so far with this type of kit.

Foamy ice cream in a cone. This one was very bad, it tasted like baking soda and cardboard.

 A gummy skull from Kerttu.

 Some watermelon.

Adorable and yummy chocolates we made with another kit 😀

Dinner was mixed rice with enoki mushroom and broccolini miso soup.

Forest berry juice and a lemon-white chocolate cookie and a pecan cookie that Kerttu provided for dessert.

Just work… 14. November 2017

A wiener pastry and a galaxy in my coffee cup.

Buckwheat porridge with bacon bits and a fried egg.

Super Mario themed gummies. These gummies were super disfigured xD They were yummy though.

Spaghetti with meatballs and some tomato-mozarella salad with basil.
