I spent the day with Miss K shopping at my favourite second-hand store which went really well as I found myself 5 new dresses, new leggings and a skirt 😀 Plus, the company for the usually tedious task of shopping was great too. In the evening we went to see “Kong: Skull Island” with her which was an amazing monster movie 😀 It was visually stunning and in general really good entertainment. Also, my very first reaction I had in the beginning of the movie was kind of hilarious to me. I turned to my friend two minutes into the movie and went: “Wait, is that… Miyavi?!?!?” And behold, it was xD So, the movie had pretty men to look at (Miyavi and Tom Hiddleston) and giant monsters fighting visually epic battles. Also, a certain scene with an octopus made me crave for sushi xD Good movie, go see it when you get a chance 🙂
Some fried potatoes I ate quickly before running off to my Bodybalance class
Coffee and cake
Had a couple of strawberries too
Evening snacks: chocolate brownies, different bread crisps with dip and delicious delicious hummus, some crackers and melon-banana-raspberry smoothies
I had a busy day. Went to the gym in the morning, then had coffee with mom and grandmother. After that I got groceries and did some last-minute cleaning at home. In the evening, I had friends over, we had some smoothies and watched a Korean zombie movie called “Train to Busan.” It was interesting to see a Korean take on the zombie genre instead of the regular Hollywood stuff. I enjoyed the movie and the company a lot.
Oatmeal porridge with raspberry jam, puffed rice and chia seeds
Sweet potato fries, fried egg, bacon and some salad @ Koloniaal. I don’t usually like the taste of sweet potatoes, but they are quite delicious in a fry form 😀

Rice with ham and soy sauce
Some meat pastries I shared with my boyfriend; rice with tuna and Chinese cabbage. Also, had a cup of coffee.
We watched “John Wick” in the evening, because boyfriend has been excited about the sequel and I hadn’t seen the first one yet. I was a bit sceptical about whether I could stomach the movie as it is quite violent, but it was alright. I really liked the movie a lot. There is something really cool about the idea of an assassin’s reputation being so good that not even the police dare to fuck with him xD
We have also been watching the first season of “Westworld,” which I enjoy a lot despite it being bloodier than I am usually comfortable with when it comes to people gutting each other.
It’s weird with me and violence in movies. Some of my favourite ever movies are quite violent. Take for instance “Alien” (and the sequels). It’s a rather violent movie with body horror elements, but I don’t mind it all that much. I’ve come to the realisation that violence doesn’t bother me as much when it takes place in a fantasy setting. It perhaps doesn’t feel as real when it’s an orc gutting a man or a bunch of elves slashing at each other or some monster hibernating in a human corpse, but when it’s two guys in a “realistic” (be it the streets of New York or the imaginary wild west space in “Westworld” even) setting shooting or beating each other, then somehow to me it feels more real and it’s harder for me to watch. Of course, it also depends how graphicly the violence is shown I guess. I twitched and groaned in several places during both “John Wick” and “Westworld” where knives were used in a fight in the former or sawing off an android’s head in the latter.
Anyhow, what’s your favourite movies and how do you feel about graphic violence in movies?

I met up with Kadi in the morning and accompanied her to some shopping around town. Then we had lunch in Bonaparte Bistroo which was quite nice. Also, she got me a skirt from a second hand store :p I think it fit me alright, so thanks!
Fried potatoes and salad with garlic sprouts
Sandwiches with bacon and avocado. I also allowed myself a beer, because of reasons.

I didn’t get the job I went in for an interview some weeks ago, so I was feeling pretty bummed out the entire day. I had already been daydreaming about working in that place, so the disappointment was great. It wasn’t that I was not qualified, but instead, after a bigger meeting, they decided a different direction for their establishment and thus they could not hire me. No hard feelings or anything, just disappointed. I did however get some neat recommendations from them for some other cafés and coffee shops, I had never heard of before, where to try and apply for a position. So, giving that a try.
The worst part about this is that it probably means more trips to the unemployment office for me and I absolutely hate going there. They always make you feel as if you are the most worthless scum of the earth, wasting “their” money and time. I have been thinking of applying to change my unemployment agent, but this could mean repercussions and I’m not sure I want to risk losing my health insurance. I really hope I’ll find a job before my next mandatory meeting. That however still doesn’t mean that any random job would do. I know what I want to do and I’ll continue searching for that.

Cookies!
Beer
It was raid night with my guild on Rift. So much inappropriate fun ♥
Also, dreams: I dreamed that I applied for a ticket seller job at Tallinn Zoo, but was terribly late for the interview, because I was looking for the main office inside the zoo, but it turned out that it was actually a few streets away from the place. It was awfully embarrassing when I finally got there and the people interviewing me were not too impressed at me keeping them waiting for over an hour. I don’t think I got the job.

A banana, cocoa pudding and a cup of coffee
Sushi! Mostly with salted salmon, cucumber and avocado.
(Thanks, Josie, for the photo. I was a forgetful goose and didn’t take a photo myself. Unbelievable, but sometimes that still can happen.)
Delicious red velvet cake
Josie came for a visit and brought cake 😀 I made sushi and we watched “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” which was a charming, but silly little movie. It was a really fun day 🙂
Otherwise I was weirdly tired and sleepy the entire day. I napped for an hour before Josie arrived and when she left after the movie I fell asleep for another 2 hours. I just couldn’t stay awake for some reason.
