Boiled wieners, French fries and ketchup.

A tangerine a co-worker gave me.

Dinner at parent’s place: fried chicken, potato salad, French fries and other snacks.

Pumpkin risotto with pumpkin seeds, parmesan cheese, some tomato and avocado and bread with butter.

Quark pastry.

Beef pasta and pomegranate red tea at Vapiano.

Popcorn at the movies. This movie room was epic and had lounge chairs 😀 Never been I this comfy in a movie theatre before.

29. October

Coffee and doughnuts. Shared the doughnuts with Kadi.

Instant noodles.

Blood sausages and salad with edible flowers.

A marron glacé I bought in Catalonia. The texture was interesting.

30. October

Baked potatoes with Chinese cabbage, mushrooms and blue cheese.

Roasted corn and some chestnuts I took to work to share. The corn is epic delicious, but the chestnuts were a bit of a disappointment. I expected the chestnuts to be crunchy, because the package said they were peeled and toasted, but instead they were soaked in something and soft. Oh well.

I forgot to take a pic of dinner. I had a tuna cutlet with some salad.

Sister came for a visit and brought some ice cream.

31. October

Some freshly squeezed juice, coffee and a kama-black currant smoothie bowl with yoghurt, granola and fruit.

Chicken-cauliflower lasagna (I had some leftover scraps) and salad.

Rice cereal with milk and a quark pastry.

1. November

Kama-black currant smoothie bowl with yoghurt, granola and fruit.

Eggplant curry and brown rice.

Spinach pancakes and some salad with edible flowers and marinated pumpkin.

2. November

Coffee, some rye bread with butter.

Tuna pie with coleslaw salad.

Half a spinach pancake, a slice of tuna pie, some marinated pumpkin and vegetable soup with leafy greens.

A lemon mantecado. It’s a type of very crumbly shortbread that is usually made using pig fat. Delicious and the texture was super funny, reminding me of powdered sugar when it crumbled.

3. November

A peach kefir dessert.

Coffee, baked apple smoothie (shared with hubby) and tuna sandwiches. The smoothie was tasty. I don’t dislike cinnamon the way I used to anymore and find myself actually enjoying the taste on occasion.

Shared some snacks with hubby: Apple Cramel Yakkoi Sable (from Aomori prefecture) and a Sweet Potato Galette (from Osaka). The chewy sable was really yummy and so was the sweet potato cookie. It was adorable how the sweet potato cookie looked like an actual slice of Japanese sweet potato.

Dadu Moonlight Black ice cream 😀 This was cool looking and yummy! The ice cream was cherry flavoured.

Lamb stomach and other innards soup with sour cream and parsley. Good stuff! And some rye bread with butter.

White bread with beef liver paté.

Slow cooked beef, mashed potatoes and carrots with beef gravy and some marinated cucumber.

Banana bread with dried cranberries.

Delicious raspberry cake.

4. November

Coffee, rice porridge and some banana bread.

Raspberry cake.

Sandwiches with beef sausage and marinated cucumber.

Coffee, slow cooked beef, baked potatoes and marinated cucumber.

Shared with hubby some ice coffee chocolate sandwich cookies (from Saitama prefecture). They were really tasty.

Duck flavoured Cup Noodles. A nostalgic taste for me.

Some melissa tea and pumpkin pancakes.

22. October – Venom

A banana.

Some vitamin water and a doughnut after working out. I took the second doughnut to Kerttu at her work place.

Coffee with my love in my favourite café The Living Room Café.

Popcorn. We went to see “Venom.” While not a perfect movie, it was still really fun and enjoyable. Not sure why most of the internet seems to be complaining over it. I had a blast and wouldn’t mind watching it again.

Salmon soup at my parent’s house.

Some cookies and tea.

23. October – from Tallinn to Girona

An almond pastry.

Quite crappy pelmeni with sour cream. The pelmeni were flavourless. I hadn’t bought this brand before, so it was a disappointment.

A grilled sandwich with cheese and sausage.

A latte and a chocolate croissant at KOHVer Café. Both were mediocre. I was disappointed, because I had over the top good memories of this place from the last time I was at the airport. No exquisite latte this time 😦 I mean it wasn’t bad, it was alright as far most coffee drinks go in Estonia, just I was hoping for a repeat wonderful experience.

Coffee on the plane. This was something new for me. They prepared this coffee by pouring hot water over fresh grounds in the cup. I mean I have made coffee like that at home many a time, but never have I seen such coffee being served in an establishment and with specialized disposable cups like these. Interesting and the coffee was good.

Some bread and ham late at night.

24. October

Fried eggs and bacon, some tomato, toast with cream cheese and ham. Coffee, a walnut-cereal yoghurt.

Coffee and a banana with a magnificent view. The kind of bananas I ate in Catalonia tasted different from the ones we usually can buy at home. I loved the flavour a lot and I hope I can find similar ones in Estonia too. Perhaps I should try to look in some organic food stores.

Pasta carbonara for dinner. There was also salad and baked chicken-vegetable skewers. I only remembered to take a photo midway dinner xD

Beer and ice cream.

25. October

An omelette and pa amb tomata which is a traditional Catalan breakfast staple. Basically it’s “bread with tomato” xD First you rub the toast with garlic, then with tomato and then pour some olive oil on top. Quite a tasty breakfast 😀

Some yoghurt, orange juice, coffee and cake.

Some orange and tomatoes, toast with hazelnut-milk spread and a cup of coffee.

Some cookies, brioche and a lemon muffin.

Beer.


Roast chicken with onions, plums, garlic and cinnamon, with a side of some salad and garlicy potatoes. Apparently, this type of meat dish is a typical Catalan Christmas food, but it was made for us as a special occasion 🙂 It was extremely delicious!

Yumyum!

A French style apple pie for dessert.

26. October

Orange juice, yoghurt, coffee, pa amb tomata, fried eggs, bacon.

A cappuccino and some complimentary olives. I almost never eat olives in Estonia, because most of the ones sold here taste gross. These were quite lovely tasting!

Bread and anchovies. I am not too sure about the anchovies, they weren’t bad, but I can’t say that I particularly liked them either.

Snails in spicy sauce. These were yummy!

Beer and a banana.

Vegetable puree soup with croutons and some funky French bread other guests from France shared with us.

Salad, some fried sausages (a bit too salty for my likes) and a macaroni dish with pork ribs that was oh so delicious.

Nice chocolate cake with crappy canned whipped cream.

27. October – going back to Estonia

Coconut yoghurt, coffee, omelette, bacon, pa amb tomata.

Some orange juice and chocolate chip cake.

A sugar doughnut and some coffee.

Roasted giant corn. So yummy!

Some potato chips and a cappuccino on the plane. I like the text on the cup: “Please attend to your own cappuccino before attempting to steal your neighbour’s” xD A funny twist on the airplane safety tips xD

Chicken tikka masala. It looked and smelled awful but tasted alright.

28. October

Coffee, chocolate chip bread.

Buckwheat with beef liver, sour cream and some salad.

Pocari Sweat. Good hydrating drink :p

16. October

Vegetable soup with sour cream.

Coffee, some chocolate truffles and mini scones.

Mashed potatoes with pearl barley and grilled chicken legs.

17. October

Coffee, scrambled eggs, mushrooms and some salad.

Rich cream cheese flavoured Umaibo.

18. October

Semolina porridge with strawberry jam and butter; a croissant with smoked salmon.

Rye bread with mashed avocado and poached eggs + some salad.

A cheese pastry.

Had dinner with Kadi in Washoku Story: started with some karaage.

Seafood ramen. It was okay, I wasn’t big into the salmon, so I traded that for some salmon croquettes with Kadi 😀

Matcha ice cream with a matcha cookie and some azuki bean paste.

19. October

21. October

Coffee, cocoa cereal with milk.

It was my husband’s birthday so I bought a cake: passion fruit-pistachio cheesecake. It was lush and so delicious.

We also had dinner at NOK NOK. We started with some marinated prawn patties with plum sauce.

A glass noodle salad with prawns, squid and mussles.

I had stir-fried crispy duck with pork. It was very delicious. Oh yes, all dishes came with a side of rice.

Shared dessert no.1- sticky rice with mango and sesame seeds. This was absolutely delicious!

Shared dessert no.2- coconut ice cream with longan, jackfruit, palm seed heart and peanuts.

Flatbread with edamame hummus and some wasabi sprouts.

Toffee in chocolate. A replica chocolate I got from the Estonian Open Air Museum.

A not so very tasty soup and a disappointingly tiny portion of fried chicken and chips from Loca. Seriously my box had only three tiny pieces of chicken even though I paid extra for a big size 😦

Spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce. Also had some beer. We watched “What We Do in the Shadows” with hubby and Kadi. The paskeeti was a themed food to go with the movie :p

16. September

I baked cumin cookies.

A grilled cheese sandwich with tuna. Also had some coffee.

Cookies and mini tosca cakes. We watched “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” which was super fun and funny 😀

Rice Krispies cereal with milk.


Coffee and apple yōkan in the cutest package I have ever seen.

The inner condom-like packaging didn’t look very appetizing however xD Thankfully the sweet treat was still yummy, despite the wtf moment I experienced with the rubber casing.

Couscous salad with avocado and garlic sprouts.

Jeriska’s Chips, jellied beef and horseradish flavour. These were really good actually!

Puffed rice and sushi-burritos from Yui.

At La Muu: I had a scoop of charcoal white chocolate ice cream and a scoop of bacon-maple syrup ice cream. Both were delicious. I especially enjoyed the crunchy caramelised bacon bits in the ice cream. The other ice cream was my boyfriends, don’t remember what he had.
