I am going to eat all the semla for the next week… 5. February 2018

Mixed cocoa-white chocolate and quinoa cereal with milk.

Sichuan pepper soup with noodles and dumplings and some keema naan @ Little India.

Sauerkraut soup with pork, barley and sour cream.

Coffee and a raspberry semla from Maiasmokk. I had another of their semla a bit later.

I love semla. I always anticipate Shrove Tuesday approaching, so I could eat some semla 😀 There just isn’t anything better than a delicious fluffy white bread bun, stuffed with jam and topped with fresh whipped cream. However, I wasn’t always this hyped about the semla pastry. When I was a child, I absolutely hated them xD To me there wasn’t anything more disgusting than white bread with whipped cream xD So, my love for this pastry has been an acquired taste.

First, I started enjoying semla with quark-whip instead of whipped cream, because I was still iffy about the cream version. Then, maybe 7 or 8 years ago I finally came around to whipped cream too and so now I am really looking forward to semla time every year.

This happened today… 18. January 2017

Rice cereal with milk and a cup of coffee

Tom yum instant noodles with sour cream and a grilled chicken leg. I have been eating too much junk food again lately, should try to get myself in check again :s

Minced meat pastry (also had a coffee)

 Cheesy veggie soup with noodles

A chocolate éclair and some tea

I had a job interview at a cool tiny café. I think it went well 😀 They promised to contact me again next week. Keep your fingers crossed for me 🙂

Simply a good day… 17. January 2017

Morning coffee and 7 grain porridge with khorasan wheat (kamut), some peanuts, chia seeds and blueberry jam

 Some carrots

Unplanned café time @ Gustav Café. We shared a slice of Napoleon cake and I had a Vienna coffee.

Sausage sandwich and some cheesy veggie (carrot, potato, zucchini, lettuce) soup with noodles

Not all good days are somehow extraordinary. Some good days are simply good because they are ridiculously ordinary. Like my day today: I slept late in the morning which was fine. When I got up, I cleaned a bit, did the dishes, did some laundry; went out for a walk and popped into my favourite second hand store (got two shirts and a book for 4.50euros) and got groceries; later in the evening accompanied my bf to town while he ran some errands and then we stopped for a bit for some cake and coffee; Got back home, made dinner, played a bit of computer games. The day was pretty ordinary, but since my last thought before falling asleep that night was: “wow, today was such a good day!” then I guess it actually must have been a really good day 🙂 Sometimes ordinary and even a bit boring is the best.

Digimon… 14. June 2016

 Udon noodle soup with wakame

Yuzu mochi ice cream and some coffee

Meatloaf, fried rice with veggies and some salad with cottage cheese

*

I started watching the new digimon anime “Digimon Adventure tri.,” because I used to like the original series when I was younger. Wow, that anime is terrible xD It’s so cringe worthy and full of plot holes and annoying fan service. It also feels really cheap production wise and it annoys me so much that every character has the exact same face shape. One could take away the character’s hair and eyes colours and you couldn’t tell them apart. However, it’s super nostalgic and I really love some of the characters in it, so I guess I will continue watching it. I kind of got used to the fan service-y silliness as well and it’s mostly amusing me in a good way now.

Too late… 21. April 2015

Fried potatoes, salad with sour cream and a couple of fried eggs

 Mesikäpp chocolate ice cream

 Coffee and a banana

 An apple

Noodle soup with zucchini and mushrooms, fried potatoes with eggs and some salad with sour cream

Buckwheat cake with peanut butter and raspberry jam

Red tongue… 5. March 2013

 Porridge with butter

 Meat dumplings

Noodle soup with sour cream, some sort of Korean rice drink (was pretty good)

Chocolate chip cookies, spicy chile n’ lime Taco-Litos

The Taco-Litos were funny and red

And they coloured your tongue bright red too xD
They were still real tasty tho.
