We drove to Uulu, because firewood needed to be made for the winter. I mostly tagged along so I could get out of the city for a change. I left my family to do the firewood thing and took a long long walk in the nearby woods and the sea-side. In my defence, I really really really don’t like being near chainsaws, so I wouldn’t have been much help with the work anyway. I helped to make the food for the working folk later, so I guess I wasn’t completely useless.

Can I get weekend to rest from my weekend?… 10-12. March 2017

10. March, Friday

A quark pastry and a cup of coffee

Mashed potatoes and a grilled chicken leg

A pita wrap with pork, some French fries and apple juice @ Pitas

Pitas had this funny drawing on their wall 😀

We attended a Bodybalance class in the evening with my boyfriend and tried out a Greek fast food place for dinner. The food was decent for a quick meal 😀 Then we went to see “Logan,” which was a fantastic movie. It was really sad though, but I still liked it a lot.

11. March, Saturday

Coffee, rice with tuna and furikake, a tangerine on the train

A latte @ Krempel

Porridge with bacon and herb butter @ Krempel

A pancake with minced meat, mushrooms and cheese + cranberry juice @ Ruunipizza

Dinner at the Puri household: salad, red rice, baked Atlantic sturgeon, some nachos with dip.

 Strawberry cake

We took an early train to Tartu where we met up with Ly and her kids. They had a BMX race happening during the weekend and my boyfriend agreed to go and take photos of the event for her. I had zero patience for the event, so I headed out to town on my own. However, before I did that, Ly gave us her car and we went to some bike shop, so bf could try on some helmets. When we returned to the event venue, boyfriend back the car into a tree while parking, so the rear window of the car exploded. It was super scary, but luckily neither one of us was injured…. just the car.

Anyway, I left my boyfriend at the race venue and headed to the city center. I ended up walking around 15 km and most of the walking was done, because I couldn’t find a café to sit down for ages xD People in Tartu sure love their Saturday morning cafés xD So I ended up walking a lot in-between sitting in two different cafés and reading a book. I’d say it was a good day really.

We spent the evening in Kiuma where we had an awesome dinner.

12. March, Sunday

A galette with chicken, cheese and avocado and a latte @ Crepp

 Coffee @ SÄDE

Chocolate covered doughnuts on the train on our way home 😀

 Some carrots

Boiled khinkali with sour cream and some salad

Sunday was a chill day on my own again. Bf went to the race venue with Ly again and I walked around Tartu, did some shopping (got some doughnuts for the ride home and found an Avengers blanket xD), had coffee and read a book in some cafés and visited the Tartu Toy Museum which was simply awesome. I didn’t mind hanging out on my own at all, it was kind of relaxing actually and I enjoyed visiting new cafés in Tartu 😀 My feet hurt from all the walking I did xD

In the evening, we took the train again back home to Tallinn. Boyfriend managed to catch a cold or some bug during the weekend, so I am hoping to avoid catching whatever he has :s

Music… 6. March 2017

Take A Bite energy bar as a quick breakfast

Battered pork, fried potatoes and warm salad @ Koloniaal

A strawberry-banana smoothie @ Braavo while I was waiting for my boyfriend to finish up in the gym

Two chicken pastries and meatball soup with sour cream

Raid and dreams and Kiki… 14-15. January 2017

14. January

Garlic pork, fried potatoes, salad with zucchini

 A banana

 Cookies!

 Beer

It was raid night with my guild on Rift. So much inappropriate fun ♥

Also, dreams: I dreamed that I applied for a ticket seller job at Tallinn Zoo, but was terribly late for the interview, because I was looking for the main office inside the zoo, but it turned out that it was actually a few streets away from the place. It was awfully embarrassing when I finally got there and the people interviewing me were not too impressed at me keeping them waiting for over an hour. I don’t think I got the job.

15. January

A banana, cocoa pudding and a cup of coffee

Sushi! Mostly with salted salmon, cucumber and avocado.
(Thanks, Josie, for the photo. I was a forgetful goose and didn’t take a photo myself. Unbelievable, but sometimes that still can happen.)

 Delicious red velvet cake

Josie came for a visit and brought cake 😀 I made sushi and we watched “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” which was a charming, but silly little movie. It was a really fun day 🙂

Otherwise I was weirdly tired and sleepy the entire day. I napped for an hour before Josie arrived and when she left after the movie I fell asleep for another 2 hours. I just couldn’t stay awake for some reason.

2 random days… 12-13. January 2017

12. January

Rice cereal with milk and a cup of coffee

Pukupuku Tai “cookie”. It was delicious 🙂

Noodles of frustration. I attempted to write that day and couldn’t even open the Word document again, so it all ended up in tears and cooking noodles.

Vegetable soup (potato, carrot, cauliflower) with leafy greens and nuts/seeds

Some assorted Tirol chocolates and a cup of tea

Dreams last night involved: My little brother ice skating and wearing a hairclip with pink roses in his hair while doing so.

13. January

 Coffee and a sausage sandwich

Tom yum flavoured instant noodles with sour cream

Some garlic pork, boiled potatoes with herb butter and salad with zucchini

Tea and some Reese’s peanut butter cups that my sis brought me. I shared the  sweets with my bf.

I had a long walk during the day, then I cleaned the entire apartment and cooked dinner. I’d say it was good day.

Yule celebrations and drunk people being idiots… 24-25. Dec 2016

24. December

 Coffee and porridge

Yule dinner: blood sausages, pork schnitzels, boiled potatoes with cream sauce, sauerkraut, meat rolls

 Coffee and delicious delicious cake

Yule celebrations were fun this year. During the day, we helped to decorate the party rooms and I decorated a whole bunch of gingerbread cookies. In the evening, there was a huge feast and then Jõuluvana came and brought everyone gifts. Jõuluvana was awesome, he had an actual long white beard and awesome boots 😀

Sadly, the very end of the evening turned sour for me, as I got upset at some drunk people acting very rudely and then drunk people driving. Unbelievable! Apparently drunk driving is very common with some people in that part of Estonia. I ended up having words with some of them in the middle of the night, but it was no use, as they sat behind the wheel anyway. In hindsight, I should have just confiscated their car keys, but I was too sleepy back then to come up with that idea.

25. December

 Potato salad and coffee

 More of this amazing cake

Berry jelly with ice cream. The family we were visiting has an interesting Yule tradition to always make jelly as a dessert.

Berry gummies that smelled bad and tasted awful. No one in the car wanted to eat them.

A ham and eggs baguette from a gas station

I didn’t sleep too well, because the room was too hot, plus I was super upset over the drunk drivers. I was in a pissy mood the entire day and had real trouble holding myself back so I wouldn’t start picking fights with people over the drunken driving. I kind of felt that they’d just laugh in my face and make me feel even more crap, because of my inability to hold a proper debate. I always end up babbling and forgetting what I want to say, so it wouldn’t have been any use anyway.

We got back to Tallinn very late at night, because people kept stalling our departure with random crap like going to the sauna in the middle of the day etc. I was annoyed to say the least, but eventually we got back home and gosh, there is no place like home. I think I calmed down instantly when I stepped through the door and then had the best sleep ever in my own bed.
