6. August

A couple of rye crackers with seeds.

Creamy potato casserole.

Coffee, minced meat-potato stew with sour cream.

Emoji shaped gummy candies.

7. August

Half a buckwheat-blueberry pastry.

Coffee and a cheese roll.

Chili sin carne with horribly undercooked and oily brown rice. The chili was good, but the rice was definitely not good for my tummy.

Banana-kiwifruit-spinach smoothie.

Chocolate ice cream.

Coffee, baked fish and some simple cucumber-sour cream salad.

Some super sour lemon candies. These were nice and sour.

8. August

An apple.

Coffee, some carrot soup with pumpkin seeds, a breaded potato patty, half a sandwich with salmon tartar and some salad.

Japanese style curry rice with tofu.

A hazelnut pastry and some coffee.

9. August

A rice and veggie stuffed bell pepper and some salad with tuna and boiled eggs.

Coffee, hazelnut rye bread with butter.

A few pieces of watermelon.

Creamy salmon pasta.

Avocado-banana-spinach smoothie and some coffee.

Hoggy’s long drink. I plain bought this drink because of the cute hedgehog on the label xD The drink was alright. I also had some pork and vegetable stew.

11. August

Coffee, pork-vegetable stew.

Milky Way chocolate.

Picnic at Eesti Vabaõhumuuseum with friends: tuna onigiri, sweet cherries, tomatoes, grapes, pastries etc.

Coffee, Mulk’s porridge (mashed potatoes with pearl barley and bacon). The wasp was an unwanted extra smearing itself on my food and not consumed.

12. August

Pork-vegetable stew with sour cream, hazelnut rye bread with butter, coffee.

More coffee and some matcha cookies.

Movie night at Marit’s place: chips, sausages, cheese, tortilla chips with cheese, cookies etc. We watched “Red Sparrow” which was super gritty, but very enjoyable. The start of the movie was kind of weird and jarred, but as the movie progressed it kept getting more and more interesting. After the first movie we re-watched “John Wick” that was still very very good and sad.

Oh, we also had cake 😀

25. June

26. June

Cereal with milk.

Some strawberries.

Coffee and a couple of pecan pastries.

Chocolate ice cream.

Pelmeni with sour cream.

Baked mushroom with cheese and some salads.

Grilled pork.

Potato chips.

Some grilled veggies and a beaver meat burger. The burger was a bit dry, but otherwise good.

27. June

Cereal with milk.

Wild strawberries.

Orange-apple juice.

Veggie and rice stuffed bell pepper in tomato sauce and some salad.

A banana-avocado smoothie.

Banana-chocolate cake.

An omelette with lentils and other veggies; grilled rye bread sandwich with cheese and ham.

Marshmallow with crunchy cashew in milk chocolate.

Chicken karaage and udon noodles with nattou. It was my first ever time to try nattou and I thought it was alright. I think I would like it more with rice though rather than in a noodle soup. Honestly, I expected to hate it from all the stories I have heard of these fermented soy beans :p I didn’t mind the slimy texture at all and the taste was alright.

21. June

Coffee and an Umaibo. It’s a flavoured corn puff stick, tasted nice.

Sour quinoa soup with tomatoes and mushrooms with a slice of ham xD

Tuna-cottage cheese pie and some salad.

Spinach smoothie.

More tuna-cotytage cheese pastry and sour quinoa soup with tomatoes and mushrooms.

Lay’s mozzarella and pesto potato chips. These were yummy and they indeed had a cool taste effect xD That was so weird.

22. June

Cheese pastry.

Some fresh orange-carrot juice, more of the cheese pastry and “tom kha” soup 🙂 Technically this was a carrot-tomato soup with coconut milk, so calling it a Thai soup would be wrong, but eh xD

Banana-coconut pastry.

SLOP! Rice with veggies, tuna, soy sauce and sour cream.

Alcohol free beer and some strawberries.

23. June

 Porridge with pumpkin seeds and bits of beef jerky.

 Sakura-shrimp kakimochi. This puffed crispy snack was so yummy.

 Since I was feeling so down, I asked if we could go to Gotsu for dinner. Hubby said yes. We shared some spicy minced meat rice rolls and a wakame salad.

 My favourite thing in the entire world, especially when I am feeling cold or sad: super spicy kimchi stew with pork and some rice to go with it.

 A grilled ham and cheese sandwich.

In the morning I went to see a specialist about the thrombosis. She was a lovely and helpful lady who explained the illness from the very beginning to me and set the course of treatment. Sadly, there are still many “we don’t really know’s” with things like this, so I don’t even have an estimate when my hand will stop hurting and when the thrombosis will be gone. Could be a week for the former, could be a month. It all depends on my body they said.

I was taken off birth control and told not to lift heavy things or to exercise. Not sure yet how it will affect my job, but we’ll see. Right now, I am taking a couple of days off to see if the pain lessens. It’s not that bad, the swelling has gone down and my hand is mostly functional, but weak and I can’t make certain movements with it yet.

And I fell ill… 20. March 2018

I had a mild headache in the morning but didn’t think much of it and went to work. However, I started feeling gradually worse during my commute to work, so I had a terrible headache, dizziness and cold shivers when I got to work. Such a bummer. This is the worst timing ever, right before my vacation next week. Ugh.

I took a taxi home and spent most of the day sleeping.

 Very late breakfast around 4pm: nettle rye bread with butter and ham and lukewarm coffee that was left over from morning. Since I felt so sick in the morning I didn’t manage to drink my coffee then and I really didn’t have the energy to make a new pot.

 We ordered in dinner, because in no way was I going to manage to cook. I had some rice and super spicy kimchi stew from Gotsu, Kyuho’s Kitchen. The spices warmed me up nicely.

 A few pieces of this peanut butter oreo chocolate. I didn’t like this very much, which is weird, because how can you go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter?

 Breakfast at Pannkoogimaja: scrambled eggs, bacon, salad, toast and coffee.

 Syrniki with fresh strawberry jam which were delicious. Boyfriend had a pancake with halva and caramel syrup.

 Roasted seaweed. I have been craving this a lot lately.

 Sauerkraut soup with pork.

 Meiji Apollo strawberry chocolates.

In life news: in the morning we went and handed in the paperwork to get married. So I guess this is happening soon :p
