Rice with garlic-mushroom sauce and sourdough bread with cheese.

Coffee, figs in chocolate.

Tuna salad and rye bread with butter.

Quark pastry.

Boiled wieners, French fries and ketchup.

Bounty chocolate.

Potato salad with blue cheese and champignons.

A tangerine a co-worker gave me.

Warm bread with butter.

Dinner at parent’s place: fried chicken, potato salad, French fries and other snacks.

Pumpkin risotto with pumpkin seeds, parmesan cheese, some tomato and avocado and bread with butter.

Quark pastry.

Beef pasta and pomegranate red tea at Vapiano.

Popcorn at the movies. This movie room was epic and had lounge chairs 😀 Never been I this comfy in a movie theatre before.

20. August

Rice Krispies cereal with milk.


Coffee and apple yōkan in the cutest package I have ever seen.

The inner condom-like packaging didn’t look very appetizing however xD Thankfully the sweet treat was still yummy, despite the wtf moment I experienced with the rubber casing.

Couscous salad with avocado and garlic sprouts.

Jeriska’s Chips, jellied beef and horseradish flavour. These were really good actually!

Creamy pasta with wild garlic and rye bread with butter.

21. August

Some Rice Krispies. I was out of milk, so…

Had some of these tiny bite sized hazelnut-chocolate pastry bites.

Creamy baked cauliflower and broccoli with some salad.

A hazelnut-wafer popsicle.

Rice with tuna and potatoes with some sour cream and soy sauce.

23.August

Salmon pasta.

Some berry smoothie.

And a bit of spinach smoothie.

Had more salmon pasta for dinner, but forgot to take a pic.

24. August

Japanese style beef curry with rice and chicken katsu.

A tuna sandwich.

Plum cheesecake.

Blue cheese, potatoes and mushrooms baked into an oven omelette.

25. August

Puffed rice and sushi-burritos from Yui.

At La Muu: I had a scoop of charcoal white chocolate ice cream and a scoop of bacon-maple syrup ice cream. Both were delicious. I especially enjoyed the crunchy caramelised bacon bits in the ice cream. The other ice cream was my boyfriends, don’t remember what he had.

13. August – meeting up with Anna

Two ham sandwiches.

Cocktails and beer @ NOK NOK with Anna. My cocktail was called Foxtail and it consisted of whisky, pumpkin, carrot, pineapple and ginger. It was delicious.

Laab Gai (spicy chicken salad with mint, roasted rice powder and red onion) and I had a few bites of Anna’s Som Tom Thai (raw papaia salad with shrimp, peanuts and tamarind sauce).

Soymilk pudding with fruit salad. The food was simply delicious and the service exemplary 😀

Oven omelette with mushrooms, tomato and eggplant + some cucumber salad.

14. August – playing with glass

Leftover oven omelette with mushrooms, tomato and eggplant.

Some candy. I went to a glass workshop with Kadi which was super fun. It was cool to learn how to cut glass etc.

Hazelnut ice cream. Kadi had a cherry popsicle.

Seafood risotto and some salad.

15. August

Beetroot soup with sunflower seeds and a cheese pastry.

Rye bread with garlic butter.

Oven omelette, rye bread with butter and some salad.

Shared with hubby: orange cake (that was yummy) and a lemon flavoured twice-baked slice of baguette (which was also tasty).

More shared goodies: a delicious crunchy senbei and some rich orange biscuits that tasted okay.

16. August

A cheese pastry.

Some delicious rye bread.

A pastry with red currant jam.

Magnum double peanut butter chocolate.

Baked potatoes and chicken with some cucumber.

Shared snacks with hubby: Strawberry Pukupukutai (cute and yummy!), soybean rice crackers (I loved the crackers, wasn’t a fan of the included peanuts), honey castella cake (this was weird and moist, but tasty I guess), chocolate-banana cookie (that was okay).

17. August – meeting up with Eva

Tuna-cottage cheese pie and some salad.

Hazelnut pastry, cheese roll and some coffee.

Dinner with Eva @ NOK NOK. Started with some cocktails. Mine was called Golden Emerald and it consisted of rum, lime, green apple, cucumber and matcha. It was super tasty and refreshing.

We shared a Som Tom Thai (raw papaia salad with shrimp, peanuts and tamarind sauce) and Gae Tod Prik Thai Dum (crispy fried lamb with black pepper sauce). The rice was complimentary with the dishes.

Then I had Tom Yum Goong (spicy prawn and mushroom soup) that was super spicy and great.

18. August

Tuna sandwich.

Coffee and fig in chocolate.

Instant noodles with sour cream.

Sour and spicy soup with quinoa and mushrooms.

Some grapes.

19. August

Porridge with strawberry jam.

An orange lollypop.

A beef burger. The burger itself was good but was ruined by the bbq sauce they added as it overwhelmed all tastes.

Nuts and seeds in dark chocolate.

Coffee, figs in chocolate.

Sour and spicy soup with quinoa and mushrooms.

Coffee and spaghetti with minced meat.

Baked potatoes and tomatoes with some salad.

Fresh orange juice and coffee.

Tomato-mozzarella salad and lemonade.

Coconut-banana pastry.

26. June

Cereal with milk.

Some strawberries.

Coffee and a couple of pecan pastries.

Chocolate ice cream.

Pelmeni with sour cream.

Baked mushroom with cheese and some salads.

Grilled pork.

Potato chips.

Some grilled veggies and a beaver meat burger. The burger was a bit dry, but otherwise good.

27. June

Cereal with milk.

Wild strawberries.

Orange-apple juice.

Veggie and rice stuffed bell pepper in tomato sauce and some salad.

A banana-avocado smoothie.

Banana-chocolate cake.

An omelette with lentils and other veggies; grilled rye bread sandwich with cheese and ham.

28. June

Marshmallow with crunchy cashew in milk chocolate.

Raw buckwheat-tomato porridge with spinach and seeds.

Avocado-banana smoothie.

Black currant-chocolate pastry.

Chocolate ice cream.

Tuna salad with eggs, potatoes and beans.

29. June

Sunday at work… 28. January 2018

 Omelette and some salad.

 A pancake stuffed with mushrooms.

 Everyburger hamburger shaped cookies 😀 These were super cute and tasty.

 Peruvian potato salad (mashed potatoes, chicken, red onion, avocado, aioli, lime, herbs) from La Tabla. Shared this with my boyfriend. It was edible, but I wasn’t a big fan of it.

 Ajiaco Colombiano (pulled chicken, 3 different potatoes, corn-nut broth, corn on the cob, fresh herbs, sour cream). Shared it again with boyfriend. The soup was better than the salad, but nothing too special still. Altogether I felt kind of meh and unsatisfied with my take-away dinner.

Costa Rican Night… 15. September 2017

 A wiener pastry and a quark pastry. Fresh from the oven in the morning and so delicious.

 A nectarine.

 Brownie quark. My new favorite! It had tiny bits of brownie in it.

In the evening, we had a Costa Rican event at work, celebrating Costa Rican Independence Day, with amazing chefs in the kitchen preparing delicious food. The house was packed with people, so me and my boyfriend, we ate in the back office xD

 Our chefs for the night- Ráu and François. I am pretty happy to have made their acquaintance this year… and to think this happened by a mere chance 🙂

 Boyfriend had a pulled beef casado with gallo pinto (refried rice with black beans), plantain slices and salad.

 I had a vegetarian casado which had creamy zucchini and corn stew instead of beef.

I was so happy and full after all of this!
