Hanging with friends… 10. March 2018

Kombucha… 6. March 2018

 Mulk’s porridge (mashed potatoes with pearl barley) and some cottage cheese salad.

 Some water, kombucha and a quark pastry.

 Pelmeni soup with sour cream.

A co-worker is brewing different kombucha and water kefir drinks at work and we are all welcome to drink them as we please. I find it so cool! I am really into kombucha, but I am not too sure about water kefir yet as it slightly tastes like the liquid that forms on top of sour milk…

Caramelised bananas… 1. March 2018

 Porridge with caramelised bananas, a cheese roll and some coffee.

 Calbee pea crisps. These were super yummy.

 A carrot cutlet, brown rice and some salad.

 Hot and sour quinoa and mushroom soup and a cheese pastry.

 Some overly sweet caramel ice cream.

I had breakfast with my co-workers in the morning. That was really nice 😀
In the evening I was so tired though that I missed my tram stop and had to walk home quite a long way xD

Coffee, a sourdough bread sandwich with salted salmon and then a cheese cookie.

A quark pastry (kohupiimakorp).

Vegan ice cream tasting. I’m not too sure about the ice creams, but that’s perhaps because they were too frozen and hard. The sorbet was delicious tho.

Hot and sour soup with mushrooms and quinoa. A sandwich with feta, avocado and tomato.

White peach tea. It was okay, a bit too artificial flavouring tasting to my likes. The package was cute tho.

A long day at work… 27. February 2018

 Minced meat and buckwheat with some oven baked beetroot and carrots + sour cream and mayonnaise.

I am going to eat all the semla for the next week… 5. February 2018

I love semla. I always anticipate Shrove Tuesday approaching, so I could eat some semla 😀 There just isn’t anything better than a delicious fluffy white bread bun, stuffed with jam and topped with fresh whipped cream. However, I wasn’t always this hyped about the semla pastry. When I was a child, I absolutely hated them xD To me there wasn’t anything more disgusting than white bread with whipped cream xD So, my love for this pastry has been an acquired taste.

First, I started enjoying semla with quark-whip instead of whipped cream, because I was still iffy about the cream version. Then, maybe 7 or 8 years ago I finally came around to whipped cream too and so now I am really looking forward to semla time every year.
