Friends… 20-21. Dec 2016

20. December

A slice of mushroom and ham quiche and a cup of coffee @ Gustav Café. The quiche was not good at all, I only ate half of it. It had too much seasoning which made it very unpleasant to eat.

Maarja

Chicken curry @ Little India. Very good stuff for a lunch  menu offering. Yum!

 Potato paratha

 Ham sandwich and coffee

Pelmeni with sour cream and some kimchi

 Tea and a rum pastry

Shopping is hard. I spent the day with Maarja, walking around in a local super market and trying to find myself a new coat or something else to wear outside, because my only jacket was falling apart. According to my pedometer I walked 22km that day; also, I got a blister under my foot, I lost my lip piercing, a button from my old coat and broke two nails xD At least the company was good ♥ and I eventually did find a suitable parka to wear… at the very last store I went to xD

21. December

A couple of rum pastries and a cup of coffee

Glass noodles with wakame and sour cream

I had a beer and some deep fried potato peels with Anna ♥

Chicken kimchi stew with some rice

I spent the day running errands and organising Yule presents. In the evening I met up with Anna for a few hours to grab a beer and to catch up. Was lovely!

Date night… 13. Dec 2016

Omelette with mushrooms and ham. Also, had a cup of coffee.

Instant miso and polar bread with butter and ham.

Dinner @ Gostu, Kyuho’s Kitchen: I had kimchi stew and boyfriend had fried chicken with garlic-chili sauce. We also snacked on some appetizers: wakame in chili sauce, pickled onion and soy marinated peanuts. There was another appetizer, but we couldn’t really tell what it was xD Maybe it was kale? I have no idea what kale would taste like xD We also both had green tea lattes. Delicious dinner!

Chamomile tea and some ice cream.

I did some shopping earlier in the day at a local Japanese food store; stocked up on some tsuyu and ponzu and whatnot. Then I went and picked up our costumes for the Christmas party from the television studio and went to the post office to get my JOIK order. So, I did quite a lot of walking which was really nice.

In the evening, we went and had dinner @ Gotsu, because they are going on their winter holiday next week and I really wanted to go there before that. We stocked up with some of their chili paste and kimchi too :p Expensive, but worth it! We have been spending so much money on trivial things this month; things like mugs and food and clothes and toys etc. This is why we can never manage to save up 😦 I have guilt, lots of it over the spending.

Spicy spicy… 8. Dec 2016

Wakame and egg miso over rice and a cup of coffee

A couple of rice cakes with chorizo and avocado

A spicy sloppy joe (had 2 of these) and some salad

We went to sleep late the previous night, so I ended up sleeping until noon :/ The day felt super short thanks to that and I didn’t get much done other than getting groceries, doing the dishes and making dinner. Not that I had any magnificent plans in general, but I still felt disappointed in myself. Oh well.

Two quiet days… 6-7. Dec 2016

6. December

Porridge with honey and peanut butter.

Oven baked potatoes, beef sült (head cheese), smoked Baltic herring, salad with bok choy and a cottage cheese salad with sour cream and dill. Boyfriend was cooking again 😀

7. December

Porridge with honey and peanut butter

Rice with pumpkin seeds and miso soup with wakame and egg over it. Also, some salad with salted cucumber and garlic.

 Caramel waffle cake and tea

Rock bottom and starting to climb up again… 9-10. November 2016

Photobucket still doesn’t work for me, so I am trying out flickr for now. Flickr is a bigger hassle when it comes to linking photos to my blog, but at least it’ll hopefully work. Eghhh… so annoyed how many services are not functioning properly for me these days (that includes: Viber, Skype, tumblr among others)  😦 Please let me know if you are having any issues seeing my photos, I don’t quite trust flickr yet.

9. November

 Sausage sandwich.

 Beef chili over rice.

 Wakame miso soup over rice.

Baked apple with sugar and cinnamon.

I had a panic attack the night before and the bad feeling from it never really went away. I woke up feeling anxious and since I didn’t manage to anything productive for the first half of the day, I ended up crying most of the rest of the day. I think this was one of the worst days I’ve had this year. By the very late evening I finally managed to drag myself out of bed again to make us some dinner. I also wrote to school asking what would be the ramifications if I postponed my graduation to the spring semester. I need more time to sort myself out.

10. November

A baked apple with cinnamon and sugar; also, some spoonfuls of yoghurt with hemp seeds. I didn’t enjoy that yoghurt much.

 Cocoa puffs with milk.

 Coffee and Milka Waffelini wafer.

Popcorn and Fanta we shared at the movies with my  boyfriend.

Fried potatoes, blood sausages, some salad and sauerkraut.

It was a better day for sure. I had coffee in the morning with my mom and then spent most of the day cleaning our apartment. In the evening boyfriend took me to the movies to see “Doctor Strange,” which I enjoyed a lot. I am usually not very fond of 3D movies, but with this one I feel that it’s essential to watch it in 3D. It was visually an extraordinary experience. Also, Benedict Cumberbatch, hot damn!

I did have a couple of anxiety attacks during the day where I was either shivering uncontrollably or couldn’t breathe, but they passed quite quickly and didn’t develop into anything worse.

I also got a letter back from school, saying that I could graduate in spring with the same terms as now, so I guess I will aim to do that. It will give me more time to attempt to get my anxiety and other issues under control and finish my thesis. I hope I can do this.

Meh and Movies and Bill Bailey… 30. September – 2. October 2016

30. September

 Buckwheat cereal with milk.

 Macaroni with wakame.

Mulk’s porridge, a fried egg, soy sauce marinated chicken bits, some salad and marinated cucumber.

1. October

 Coffee and an apple.

 French fries.

Tomato soup with sour cream and a slice of bread with liver paté.

I also had two beers in the evening. Miss K visited and we watched a couple of movies. The first one was “Alice Through the Looking Glass” which was somewhat meh, but it had its cool bits, so I am not complaining too much. I really loved the character of Time in it, he was great. Not sure why, but the Mad Hatter felt so out of place in this movie, I didn’t have this problem with him in the first one.

The second movie was “Guardians of the Galaxy,” because I wanted to see it again. Such an awesome movie still. One of the reasons why I wanted to watch it again is that I’ve been having dreams about Chris Pratt recently xD So worth it in its fabulous dance off glory!

2. October

 Coffee and some tomato soup.

Some pancakes with strawberry jam and another cup of coffee.

Boiled pelmeni with sour cream and a cup of bouillon.

We went to see Bill Bailey’s “Limboland” show in the evening. He was absolutely hilarious! His musical jokes were the best in my opinion. I had a great time and I laughed so much that my hear hurt a bit afterwards xD

Here is an example of what mister Bailey entertained us with:

It’s not the exact same performance he did yesterday, but similar 🙂
